Absolutely brutal. Even in the stretches where they are playing ok in a game, I feel no joy.
I am in disbelief over that quote that Lavi didn't even go in the locker room after the game!! Has that been verified? How long has that been the case??? This guy is stealing his paycheck even more than Lafreniere!!
I have loved this team and it's roster more than what a healthy life balance should allow in recent years and now I would have no issue with the whole thing being burned down. Go scorched earth on anyone who has displayed a lack of heart through this season. So, anyone over the age of 22, except for Quick and Igor.

It is certainly right up there...though that 92-93 was absolutely brutal with Leetch being injured for much of the season with the pinched nerve and then the ankle...and then the Lemieux 5 goal game...it was pretty bad.

21-24 were great. Fun era but it sank quicker than the titanic. Unfathomable how bad everything is. Drury coaching staff and core has to go

Yea honestly I have no clue what is going to happen now. But it’s going to be hard to cheer for this team if players like Kreider, zib, Trocheck K’andre Miller are back next season. We know Lavi is gone he pretty much sold his fate with that quote last night. While not the main problem I would trade Panarin. They need to get younger and he actually has good trade value still

After Lavy's quote last night I thought he would have been gone like Torts was.

Zib and Trocheck control their own fate. What is CK20's value? Millers value? I dont know what the return might be.

I wouldnt trade Trocheck but as Ive said, he should be 3C.

Miller is an NHL Dman, and I think he can get a 1st rd pick. CK20, I think a 2nd round pick is possible. Hopefully with the cap going up, it makes taking Zib more pallateable for a team, however hopefully Zib doesnt make this difficult.

Seeing mixed opinions on Lavy not addressing the team post game. Apparently pretty common for coaches to not go in after losses. Unfortunately, not sure who on the leadership team is speaking up, especially without a captain.

Even if the norm is for him to not address the team, this current stretch (plus 75% of the season) isn’t normal. They deserve to be ripped into.

We need a 1st line RW and have the cap space - picks and players to make a deal -

What do you think a trade for breadman looks like - this years 1st, and ??? Lundestrum & one of either - Zellweger/ Luneau or Mintyukov

LaCombe would be totally off limits -

SoCal is great, but I'm not so sure Panarin is going to waive his NMC to go to the Ducks.

Also, what is the benefit for the Ducks here? They trade some high-end assets to get one guaranteed year from a 33yo player who is highly likely to walk away the following summer.

Yes, but there is a better way to respond to the question. The answer was extremely poor. Follow the first part up by saying any messages will be addressed with the team before, during or after practice.

I dont think Panarin will be traded before the season starts. Rangers need him to put people in the seats. If the season is again lost, he might waive to go to a contending team.

I dont see him getting traded unless its as a rental for a playoff team.

If we could score we’d be a playoff team. And breadman can facilitate scoring and 34 G would look pretty sweet - even if only for a yr or so.
At some point Verbeek has to add a high end offensive player -

He'd definitely boost the offense, but the Ducks have allowed the 10th most GA/GP and have the league's 4th worst PK. I admittedly don't watch a ton of West Coast games because of the time difference, but it seems like there are a lot more issues than just scoring. A stable of high-end prospects helps the future for sure, but it'd be a tough look to trade a young kid (and other valuable assets) that goes on to be a star for what could only be one year of a guy like Panarin. Seems like overpaying a little for someone in July might be a little bit of a more stable route.

Instructions unclear, the New York Rangers have acquired a conditional 2026 1st round pick and 66yo center Craig MacTavish from the Anaheim Ducks in return for Artemi Panarin
