440 games and a .9914 save %, that’s impressive. |

440 games in a season! The season started early and he’s playing both games of doubleheaders.

Maybe Torts resurfaces in NY- Rangers or Isles take your pick - Trox88 I think John Davidson is still close to Torts from their days in Columbus and he said Torts wants to coach again. Be funny to see him end up back with the Rags. |

Tipp's first goal since Mar 8, bar down on empty net - Tomahawk Tippet and TK have left lots to desire the second half of the season. TK seems to only have enough gas in the tank for the first half of the season (seems to sputter the second half of seasons) and Tippett is becoming the second coming of Hartnell with all of his fall downs. From Hartnell down to Tippet over. |

Many have said it seems like TK's been dealing with an injury for months. Outside of his vanishing act in the bubble playoff run, i'm not really sure he's had other let downs like this in second halves? I DEFINITELY think leveraging him to get a great asset at the deadline this year instead of resigning him would have been a "rebuild move", he's more than out performing his contract this year. Even looking at contracts starting next year, his performance as a top 20 NHL scorer compared to what others are making isn't crazy. Quick legit robbed him tonight. Watching games, you can see he's in the mix but something is off....
Tippett is the bum out of the year. It's not even like he was reliant on the PP (tho he had 5 more goals on the PP last year and like 10 more points?) I think he needs to skate with someone who can skate with him and put pressure on the D. Not sure what type of centers they are targeting in FA (if any) but, as he excels at carrying the puck and using his speed and size to drive the net, having someone who can keep up will really stretch the opposition and perhaps make him more effective. But yeah, he's been really frustrating |

Of course, this is the first year of his extension. Classic Flyers stuff. Wait til you see what TK does next year. It is not that they are lazy. They can't play with the pressure of a large contract. In their contract year they are playing with house money. Mentally weak.... |

I honestly thought he was gonna break out to be a 30 goal scorer after the last couple years.....sucks this year. What did you think of him before?

Certainly makes sense to question the year of some of the forwards. The team's save % is now .878 %. No team will be able to compete with such futility. Hoping that Bjarnason or Zavragin will be the savior in a few years just really is not realistic. First, Briere needs to replace the goaltending coach. Dilly has been in the position for 10 years, no coach should have that much tenure and so little to show for it. If the regime is serious about getting in the McKenna sweepstakes run back a tandem of Ersson/Kolosov and see if one develops under a new coach. Fedotov gets the Petersen treatment if he wants to play in North America. My hunch is Briere will add a vet goalie in a tandem with Ersson and retain Dilly because for whatever reason this organization despises giving up on mediocre coaches. |

TK elevated his play after he signed his last extension. I don't think contract pressure will be the reason his play falls off in the future. If they keep playing him 20-25mins a night his body will just totally break down sooner than later.
Tip is Exhibit A for why you never lock a totally one-dimensional guy to a big money 8-year deal, especially if his one-dimension isn't even elite. |

They are the flyers from two weeks ago, completely quit on their coach. Hopefully they do something stupid in the offseason and move some decent players. |

Many on here stated that the NYR rebuild was a farce and an illusion. Drury took shortcuts and it's burned him. |

Drury is like the Babcock of GMs... all that Machiavellian poop only flies if you actually succeed. Otherwise you're just an bumhole who turned your team into a toxic clown show. |
