That was terrible. Completely overmatched in every aspect

Carried over from last blog

Dude, love you, but you are obviously an optimistic person. I saw a team from the outset that looked defeated. Never saw that from a Devil playoff team before. This is on Keefe, coach your team to victory or be gone,

I absolutely agree with you. Keefe is so laissez faire and complacent in his attitude, it seems the players have taken on that persona and don’t give a $hit either. There’s absolutely no fire in their game or desire to do the hard work needed to win. Lackluster is too mild an adjective. It’s the same reason why he never won in TOR regardless of their talent. As I’ve said on this blog from day 1, hiring Keefe was Fitz’s biggest mistake. My optimism is that I hope we win despite Keefe.

Good blog Chris, but maybe you should title it “Devils fail to show up for game 1”. Never showed any emotion or desire to win. This team has no heart and as mentioned, that comes from the coach

Geez that was ugly. They were sloppy from the get go, and puck possession was almost non existent. Let's hope for a better showing next game.

I love Nico Hischier . I think he is great and such a nice guy, great to the fans , especially the young kids and he plays his heart out but I do not know if he has the voice or the fire this teams needs from a captain. He always looks sad and depressed. I remember in the Rangers series when it went 7 games when he was knocked down in the corner and he sat there just looking up at I think it was Trouba for an extended period of time as Rangers stood over him. No emotion, he didn't get up, shove them back. There was nothing there, no fire. Ever since that moment I have been concerned for this team. Remember when Jack jumped up and tackled Aho? That's what I'm talkin about! I have no clue what goes on in the room so I can be completely wrong. Like others have said it is frustrating to see the lack of intensity. There should be no more excuses. Also , I am sorry but Palat kinda sucks. He needs to do a lot more for this contract. The guy is built like a brickhouse and never throws a big check. Are these just muscles for show? Timo all over throwing the body . What is Palat's excuse?

You mean to tell me that Sprong is not our secret weapon after all? Whoever wrote that should be humiliated. Anyways, the game was….Jack-less. This team is horrible without him, I mean disastrous. This series WILL be over in four and the Devs will MAYBE score 3 goals, yes total.

I don't think I've ever seen a team get so dejected so quickly.

Here some news for you, wonder what it would cost (and if Rutherford would even consider) - or do we just wait 2 years when his contract is up:

Clueless Marshmallow Keefe lost this team 4 months ago…. Now players are getting injured. Keefe was a big mistake to bring in to coach a young talented team (you know, like the team he was fired from). This clown always seems to like the Devils game or the effort. ZERO accountability and ZERO discipline. This team can’t win with him, and I believe Fitz needs to go as well. Another year of wasted possibilities.

Agreed, but Coach Marshmallow Keefe “Liked the effort “. This guy makes me sick.

I believe Markstrom said it best, basically need to forget that game and come back and win the next. Let's get 'ur done then!

Enjoy the game tonight! 6pm start....

Solid first period, not perfect but solid. Imagine CAR will come out much harder in the 2nd. Next goal is huge for momentum

So far this game has been highly predictable. So far, we’re not good enough, even if we had Hughes and such. Exhausting to watch them chase .. a shock when they win a 1 on 1 battle.
