I’m fine with that. He’s nothing special at all at this point.

No, I don't think any players would make major career decisions based on the success of a team playing a different sport in the city. It's not like they're both owned by the same group so why would the success of the Eagles somehow mean the Flyers will have the same success or culture?

I can't believe that I'm going to agree with a Pens fan, but I totally agree here. I'm still trying to get over the fact that EVERYTHING fell into place perfectly for the Beagles to win it all. The two teams that would have challanged them the most in the NFC were battered with injuries and then they played a cupcake soft team in the Super Bowl that was ripe for the taking. Ugh!!!!!!

Grew up a devoted Flyers and Eagles fan, in the 70's Flyers took centre stage all the way up through mid 10's. Mr. Snider and the 'family' he built was a big portion of that love affair even through the late 80's-early 90's dark stage. Then the Greedy Comcast minions and the coward Camillio got a hold of the group and all went to pot, too money centric, too illiterate and they lost that 'thing' that made them the pinnacle of how to run a successful sports organization. Mr. Laurie on the other hand took Mr. Sniders philosophy and ran with it and built something special. Don't just say it, DO IT!
Step 1. Cut off the snake head and get a proper owner ( much easier said than done ).
Step 2. One City, One Community, One Team, One Family
Step 3. Accept the failures, own & fix them.
Step 4. Bring back Kate

Things didn’t just fall into place for the Eagles based on how the playoff matchups went. That team was playing at another level for most of year and I believe they would’ve beaten the Lions and Vikings. That was one of more dominant performances I’ve seen from an NFL Team. They were legit and I don’t think Saquon’s recent comments about that team being a top 5 of all-time are too far fetched.
