To be fair - NJ DID in fact beat Ottawa 5-3 so he was correct on that one, and there were 3 others that he called as OT wins but were just straight wins, so Ek was 8-7 with respect to calling the correct winners.

That's not how predictions work. If you predict an OTW and it happens in regulation that is a wrong prediction. And considering he is doing this to project the final standings, it is wrong. If you place a bet saying Edmonton will beat Calgary in overtime, but Edmonton wins in regulation is your bookie going to pay you out or keep your money? This is a black and white situation. There is no grey. |
