He finally feels the brunt of 15 million in dead cap space. And for 2 full years. Sure Dumba and Kllingberg are off the books but now he has a defense corps that is beyond porous and thin. Same with his bottom six forwards. He hasn't got much wiggle room.
You know who would have been perfect? Jakob Chychrun at that price for 2 seasons. Ottawa paid. Minny wouldn't.

Honestly i think Billy has done alright. Yes, he will feel the pinch the next two years, but the team is still a good 6-8th as not too many key contracts expire. More importantly he changed the cultutre and opened up roster spots. That breath of fresh air and competitive team will look great in two years.
