Probably the same thing Jerry Reinsdorf did to the Bulls and White Sox.

I Hope one of the signings, whether the 13th forward, or seventh defenseman is someone that has some pushback (at least Tinordi provided that, Foligno tried, but ended up breaking his thumbs, and he will turn 37 at the start of the season, how much heart does he have to fulfill that role).
As long as there are the Rempe's, Trouba's, Gudas, Tom Wilson of the world on the ice, hoepfully your team is tough and has push back iwth the way they play (like the last 2 cup champions Panthers and Knights), but I don't see much push back, let alone very many board battles won with the current roster. |

And KD will go out and draft a Eurosmurf after drafting a canucksmurf last season. WE NEED RED ASS! |

Obvs!
Idk, I don’t really see Hall, Laff or Foligno as shrinking violets. Don’t have any interest in having a stiff that only plays a few shifts.
Sign a few more guys who are tough to play against. That’s great that Tinordi provided some push back when the whistle was dead vs the thing he was really good at which was fishing the puck out of his own net. |

Yeah he didn’t like Hammerstrom but Borje Salming, who came over with him, was one of the toughest guys who ever played. - paulr
Even if they do draft Demidov at 2, wouldn’t mind them taking Bransegg-Nygard if he’s still on the board. Sounds like total pain to play against with some skill. |

Utah is looking for a top pairing defenseman. Send Jones there for #6 OA. If a D taken at #2, draft a forward at #6 or vice versa.
Trade for Trouba for the red ass component. Possibly get something along with him as a cap dump. He could be Jones' replacement RD for a couple of years until Rinzel and maybe Levshunov are ready for prime time. And we don't have to worry about Trouba decapitating any Hawk young-uns. |

That’s why it’s so important to steer absolutely clear of the Marners and Zegras of the world. Softer than a baby’s butt and worse absolutely terrified of the rough going. And whoever they draft they have to be as sure as they can be that they are competitors. |

This is why KD traded with VAN, so Joshua would have some familiar faces when he signs in CHI. |

I am thinking more along the lines of a Dakota Joshua, Brendan Dillon types. I only used Tinordi because that is who the Hawks had last year. Or you can go big and soft and bring Megna back.

Ready for the avalanche of the NHL off-season.
Soon we should have a real good handle on the core of the team moving forward. Bring it on! |

I find it kind of funny that people keep saying that the Hawks got Mikheyev so that projected rookies would have an interpreter. Hasn't everyone raved about both of them being fluent in English?
I'm sticking to my original prediction, AA's getting moved within the next week or two.
Hawks will sign A. Carrier, Joshua, and TT |

If KD does those signings, that would be a successful offseason. including the draft picks.

I was surprised how well Demidov not only spoke but was able to understand questions directed at him. I thought he spoke with less of an accent than Levshunov, who’s been here for a season. |

Trouba is going to be out of the league in 3 years. He is already having trouble keeping up, and his speed will only fall off from here. His bad penalties in the playoffs probably had rangers fans cursing the C on his chest. Hard to scratch a captain. |

Does Suter have the record for receiving the most money being bought out in NHL history.?

Joshua might be interesting but if they sign a few more guys that are actual top 6 or middle 6 fwds it pushes down the Foligno's, Richardinson's etc.
Forgot Richardinson btw...also not a lavender sniffer.
