#15. Most notable? How about Erik Nesterenko? He was the most notable. First by the way. |

Much impressed by Zach's writing skills and research ability to put together a blog on player's numbers!
I wonder if Blackhawks braintrust might go to a hybrid model: No more number retirements but a creation of a ring of honor by player name for any future contenders for what would be the number retirement honor. |

Beat me to it. Far and away the most notable, more so than Anisimov and Ruutu combined.

Does it seem strange still no official word from #19's camp? |

By the end of the season I will have the sweater #s correct and then they will get rid of some, and I will be confused again...
I think it is will be a few years before the numbers (of the youts) will be ones where there will be heightened interest in the line-ups guys... |

The only thing he didn’t do is “officially” retire. The guy is done playing hockey. |

That Onnit phase. So many shrooms. Have to believe Toews is just tired of trying to figure out how to be an NHL regular again.
He should just go enjoy the rest of his life. he is a HOFer. |

For the complete listings of which players have worn which number for the Hawks: https://www.hockey-refere...om/teams/CHI/numbers.html
Bedard's uncle was the first #21! - 333inthe3rd
They forgot to add Pierre Pilot on the retired numbers. Both he and Maggie were retired the same night. |

Add to 'Notables to wear #15:' as Ken Yaremchuk. Why? Well I mean if you are adding Stahlberg, and Huet... at that point, you might as well. |

If KD is interested I’m sure he will, otherwise he won’t. |

When I think of 25, it's Bob McGill. Could be wrong but I know Khabby and Huey were on the team at the same time. Thought Huet wore 38 then...did he switch to 39 when The Wall left? |

I see Askarov's name has been mentioned here lately. .. Just for reference he was drafted in 2020, is now 22, has 2 yrs in the AHL starting 44 and 48 games both yrs throwing up a .911 SPG, they made the playoffs those 2 yrs and played 17 games.
He went 11th overall (next goalie taken that yr was Commesso 46th overall), big dude at 6ft 4in and has always been known as a lighting quick ridiculous reflexes goalie. Haven't seen him play AHL but as a jr even though the kid generally looked outstanding a lotta motion/movement in his game.
The kid will cost and the Hawks, if Commesso is not part of the deal, would have two goalies the same age and in 2 yrs both would have earned shots in the NHL. ....... But, Askarov is a legit blue chipper.

I am indeed, doing some scouting. I believe I saw Stan in attendance as part of his Bettman-required training. |

I'd go with my favorite #15, Jim Cummins. Maybe lost more than he won, but always stood up for teammates. Met him at a card show at the old Holidome on Algonquin in the mid 90's. Dude was huge, made me realize how large these enforcers are as he seemed smaller than the true heavyweights of the time.
Can you believe we iced a lineup with him, Probert, Ciccone and Russell? |

A left hand glove
Has played well vs Rockford
Nashville just signed Saros (their # 1 goaltender) to an 8 year contract
Nashville has made significant moves post season and appears to be perhaps a much better team. Logically Trotz has a legitimate piece in Askarov to trade insofar as to improve the team furthermore. Trotz is loading up salary cap wise for maybe a one year or two year push deep into playoffs |
