Lindy’s a competent coach. Past his prime, but capable nonetheless.

But they haven’t surrounded him with good assistant coaches and run their scouting and development programs on the cheap.

Adams isn’t a good GM. No other franchise in this league hires that guy with that resume to run their hockey department.

No offence, trade makes no sense. Also Tkachuk is pretty much untouchable at this point. Captain, fan favorite, and the players they trade for would have to make the team much better - hard to do because Tkachuk makes everyone around him better in intangible ways

The trade is close without the 1st rounder.

While Tkachuk is a player any team would love to have so is Dahlin. Chabot is probably a little more valuable than peterka but not an unprotected 1st difference.
