It's time for Chris Drury to stop hiding and pretending that he had an excuse that he had to just make sure there was cap space for Igor. There are too many other needs. Compete level, will to win, team defense. I hear so many excuses for Drury's hands being tied. B.S. Yes, there are NMC's & M-NTC's. Bill Zito found a way to make a LOT of trades in a short amount of time. There are times to be patient and there are times to be bold. Not reckless, but bold. Chris Drury could make a few moves,(hockey trades), and help change the dynamic identity of this team in the room and on the ice. Currently, Drury's just playing it safe and (to quote Torts from a long time ago), right now, "safe is death."

Anyone think Berard is up for a showcasing? because where would he be playing regularly, or replacing. Curious call up

It’s not an excuse also, it’s really hard to move players with NMC or NTCs. You are dealing from the side of weakness in negotiations

I think everyone who they can trade is being showcased one way or another.

I also think they are not happy with Brodzinski (although he is not the only one by a mile) and they want to see a bit more of Kakko at C? But the biggest issues for me is they only have 4 defensemen they can count on at this point and the decline of Mika 5 on 5.

Listening to Friedman's podcast this morning it sounded like they mainly fired him because they were after Monty. They've apparently been interested in him for some time and would have hired him if the Bruins lost in the first round last year and let him go then.

I don't want him fired. I just want to know how it is that he came in, had these guys playing an incredibly effective 1-3-1 for 40 games and somehow now we can't play defense to save our lives.
