Thanks for the recap York, I wasn't able to stay awake for the whole thing so quick access to the highlights is always appreciated. A little unlucky on the Boeser post but like Toc said, a good road trip overall, the boys should be happy with their performance.

Team is playing well and coming together for each other without Miller, maybe less is more...in this case?

Team is definitely coming together a bit more without Miller... but I think that's more correlation than causation. Petey was stepping his game up before this road trip, and DeBrusk hit a heater.

I have a feeling JTM will be back on the homestand at some point. The marital stuff (from what my friend mentioned) was clearly affecting his game before he took the leave. Which is understandable. Hopefully he comes back soon and everything in his personal life gets settled.

Yes, I hope he gets things sorted out on a personal level. I don't wish that on anyone! Canuck fans are toxic though, Boeser has injuries and his father is dying, Canuck fans are all over him and want him traded. Pettersson has a poor half last year with a knee thing and then starts off slow this year, Canuck fans want him traded. Miller has some personal issues, Canuck fans want him traded....LOL....we are so toxic.

Zero goals 5v5 for Kuzy, thanks for taking that cap hit so we could sign DeBrusk.

Always sucks to lose to garbage reffing, but 9 out of 12 points is a pretty solid road trip without 2(+) of your best players

It’s all speculation of course, but Miller must be so distraught as we all know how rare it is for professional athletes to have marital issues. Usually those unions are so strong and unwavering that it’s a shock to all that this could be true.

Everyone knows that commitment to your profession must be abandoned immediately due to the slightest impact to one’s feelings. Business owners can not expect employees to work on their personal issues on their own time. Feelings must take precedence!

It’s all speculation of course, but it's too much to ask Miller and his wife to work on their issues over an entire summer together. Those summer months are not nearly as important as the months of November and December. Everyone knows that November and December are the best months to sort out marriage issues. That’s when the real healing begins.

I do wish them the best of successes in their efforts to save their union as eveyone knows that pro athlete marrages are the backbone of american society.

But it’s all speculation of course.

EK suggesting Kakko and Trouba for Miller, and we have had discussions with Anaheim about goalie Kevin Gibson...like why for starters and furthermore who the hell is Kevin Gibson?

wienerhead,

All joking aside, if a guy wants to walk away from his profession to save his family, good on him, if that’s truly the issue.

25 years ago I walked off my job to be with my family when my daughter was in hospital for months, the company insisted that I return to the arctic for 3 months, I refused and wouldn’t you know they found a position in Victoria.
