I want loses but damn I love wins. A week ago I was looking up top 5 pick possibilities, now I’m figuring out what lawn chair I want to bring to the parade.

All joking aside, I agree with RW, that it is enjoyable to watch them play again. Up 4-1 in the 3rd, I still felt terrible about the lead lol.

We are a lot closer to the end of watching Crosby than the beginning.

So although I would be totally fine with this team bottoming out and getting a Michael Misa .... my advice is just to enjoy and take in any success and great moments this core may still bring.

That Graves stat is crazy... definitely past the point of it being a coincidence. What other contract out there in the league is so bad we can do a change of scenery trade with Graves? I don't even know...

Play that same game 100 times, Fla wins 99. Terrible showing by Knight.

The real important issue is did they win the stats battle.

Yes. They scored more goals than the other team.

You are dreaming. The Pens owned the Cats... perfect strategy of letting you control the puck and shots so much that you wear yourself out. Perfectly executed gameplan by the Pens.

Pens fans saying their team is fun to watch again when they were bombarded in shots 41-16! That's priceless! I mean, the opposing goalie had a .688 save pct. Congrats though.

The Pens are too old to play any game 100 times.

Jim Rutherford and Patrik Allvin were at the game from rumors. Definitely scouting us hard.

Gryz is so bad. Shelter him in the 3rd pair or scratch him.

And what is nieto doing to keep a spot?

Pickering and tomasino (young guys) giving this roster a little boost. Learn from it instead of playing washed up vets.

Bears repeating, but a Sullivan line-up will almost always have four PK specialists. If he's forced to due to injuries, he'll use a guy like Rust, but he prefers not using PP1 guys (unless it's Letang).

Right now that's DOC, Acciari, Lizotte, and Nieto. Glass could replace Nieto and I hope that's the route they take.

(I'd also play Poulin or Gruden over Nieto, but we can't have that.)

All this sucks for Puljujarvi's chances of getting back in the lineup. He sort of needs to be at our someone like Hayes or Beau for a spot.

That is a nuts stat. Probably looks better off a rare 4 game win streak, because with or without him, I don't think they are that good. But it's worth keeping track of.

I might like him over Gryz, but Gryz might be better as the third pair puck mover once Pickering inevitably moves into the top four.

In reality, they scored more goals & won the game. However, I'm sure the Pens were blown out according to theoretical model xGF%.

How the (frank) DOC is in the NHL on a top six line non the less is beyond me. Pull isn’t beating out Beau for a spot in the lineup, Beau is simply the better player. Hayes keeps knocking in the odd goal enough to justify his spot. DOC would be my guy to sit.

It's so funny to me that the Pens put together a 4 game winning streak and some people that post around here are nowhere to be seen hahaha...its like clockwork with those people.

Most of these guys are too busy playing GM on twitter to actually watch the games.

Love Reaves comments coming back into the lineup. Hope he gets to 1000 games. If anyone deserves it it’s definitely him.
