If it were easy, every team would have multiple Stanley Cups. It isn't easy! There are always mistakes along the way and it's not a quick process.

They are no closer now than they were 6 years ago.

I don’t blame anyone for getting the best paying job they can get. For athletes they can be one play away from a career ended. This NIL thing exploded way quicker than I thought. We haven’t really seen the hockey side yet. This was an eye opener to be sure. One quarterback drops out of school in Nevada because he wants more than his original deal, now a kid’s commitment has been bought and switched. At 18 I don’t think I could turn my back on 10.5m.

I don't blame the kid, but the NCAA for allowing this much money to be paid and turning their sport into a pro sport. There should have been a limit on the cash offer per season. And then in "women's" sports to allow men to compete. Disgusting. I no longer support NCAA sports.

I have to avoid topic#2, but I’m legitimately unhappy with the NIL stuff. Michigan has 7 tier I hockey programs. Two of them are U of M and Michigan State. Some of the others are smaller schools. I don’t know what kind of money will come to the Hockey players, but those smaller schools don’t have alumni assoc w billions to spend. CHL kids can transfer in and probably make more $. It just feels like a hit
