The Bruins don't want to sell. It's nice to want. It's not a matter of want. This squad is doo doo with no future. They have to sell |

The problem is, who's going to buy? And who agrees to move...pretty much every player has movement protection and the ones folks would be interested in that don't will be available after the season via free agency. Pretty much the only guys that might find interest at the deadline that don't have movement protection are Geekie, Frederic, Carlo, and then maybe some of the young guys. Would like to keep Geekie but think he really wants to stick around this dumpster fire?
This is a Neely/Sweeney mess with no way out as long as either or both are here. |

Bruins seem to be in the same spot as the Pens. Older team that has had some success but trying to still win when they should probably have been selling the last year or 2. Both teams need to do a full rebuild in my opinion. |

Very hard for a fan base of a perpetual winner to see the end is here. I love it. |

The Bruins have missed the playoffs twice in the past 17 seasons, I think, they've went to three cup finals and won one of them. Unless you draft the crap out of the draft you just can't stay on top forever, at some point you're going to have to reset the club. It's just their time. |

If you're looking for a silver bullet, you'll be disappointed. There are pieces to move to begin the process because that's exactly what it will be. A process. This fanbase and front office need to accept it and get it to. Now. |

Spoken like someone who has been there before. Hoping you guys turn the corner. The NHL is weird without Detroit in the mix. |

Very similar. The Bruins were trying to maximize the outgoing core (Chara, Krejci, Bergeron), the Pens are currently doing the same with Crosby, Malkin and Letang. At some point, the cost has to be paid. |

A few positive notes from last night:
Where has this Swayman been? Seriously was a good showing from him. He needs to keep that going.
Poitras belongs. Its poor asset management to send him down anymore. He belongs in the NHL and posted right next to Pasta. Love seeing his game develop (he still has a long way to go still too).
Defense actually did their part in their own end. I wish I didnt have to be surprised to see it, but it was there last night for the most part. More shot suppression would be nice but Ill take any positives I can get this season.
ANNNNNNND its bourbon time. |

I fully believe they sent him down to keep him alive for most of the season. He definitely belongs but he takes some monster hits. No chance was he surviving a full nhl season. It’s very nice having his skill in the lineup though.
Geekie has taken a big step forward and the forward lines are starting to gel. Hopefully they build on the last two games. They are starting to play a better brand of hockey.

Lather, rinse, repeat. Guess this team only has the ability to stay focused for a maximum of 2-3 games in a row. 17 SOG and 23 give-aways...abysmal. |
