Thanks Trevor

Gonna be interesting to see how the new guys do as well as the regular. Sharangovich should play better on the wing with Frost, maybe the new lines will click.

How were the new guys? Missed the game.

Great article Trevor. Flames are impressively slow.

Kinda like Micro-Man.

Farabee had some chance but faded as the game went on. Frost started tentative but looked better as the game went on.
Conroy gave up Kuzmenko and Pelletier for 2 guys that fit in the age group for a retool. I would think he might not be done.
Talbot looks like George Vezina when he plays the Flames, kept them in it.

Thanks!

No game day piece today. Out workin’. No word on lineups vs Seattle as it’s a back-to-back.

The Flames are 1-5-0 on the tail end of their back-to-backs this season. Definitely an issue.

True they arr bad on the 2nd game but that's usually after a win. Maybe things will turn out different tonight.

Good to see frost get on the board.

Huberdeau is slowly winning me over. He was blocking shots at the end of the game. If he had more talent to work with he could start earning that contract.

He's been actually a nice piece for the Flames this year. Good on him. Frost was a nice get for Conroy & Im hoping Farabee starts to show his skills. He came close last night, how sweet would that of been if he could of potted his first as a Flame.

One thing I have noticed, our top 9 definitely are a better balanced upgraded group. Just wait till Zary gets back & that 4th line is going to get a boost. We still have 4 1st rounders in the next 2 years to continue to stock the pipeline. If Conroy makes 1 more move, I would like to see a vet 2nd pairing D-man added. Not sure who is out there we could get for a 3rd or 4th & maybe one of our prospects, but would be nice to reduce minutes on the bunch of 6-7's we have in our lineup.

I hope they don’t spend picks or prospects on another vet d. Bring up Solo or y2k, big, stay at home d

Yeah Im in that camp as well but reality is when the season at this point is so close to that wildcard playoff spot, they will go with an older experienced vet over a few rookies. Im with you but I see Conroy going the vet route if the price isnt too inhibitive.

Exciting game, better team won. Flames got a ways to go but what a great trade getting Farabee and Frost. Nice to win a few faceoffs when it counts.

Solo recalled thank goodness. Barrie was a tire fire & our bottom pairing is in need of something. Hope Solo takes the spot outright & sticks after Bahl gets back. Bean, Miro & Hanley should rotate as the #6.

Agree on Barrie, he’s one dimensional and last night wasn’t very good at it. Miro can sit the rest of the year or til we get some injuries. Bean has had some good games but last night wasn’t one of them. I’m ok with Hanley most night. But Connie needs to give Huska some more options. Y2K needs to come and play more than a couple periods. Both big stay at home d, something we’ve been short on.
