Very cool interview... it's nice to get some insight straight from the players I get to see play in GR. In a year or two Detroit is going to have the envy from a lot of other NHL fans because they will have a very deep defense corp. Sandin-Pellika will probably be able to jump straight to the NHL... With Wallinder, Tuomisto and Buium coming up right behind him eventually. I think all of them have an excellent shot at being NHL players. Tuomisto has really caught my attention lately... With his size and passing / playmaking skills he's really stood out the last couple months. He just needs to fill out a little more on that 6'5" frame. But we'll see...

My biggest growing concern is getting a top tier center for the second line. If Larkin goes down it really hurts the team. I'm really curious to see if Yzerman does anything before the trade deadline. I just don't see Yzerman parting with any of the top prospects since this team is coming out of the rebuild and turning the corner. The team needs to keep it's talented youth. I could see him moving Berggren, veterans, and maybe draft picks.

I would definitely like to see Tuomisto grab a shot on the right side. Buium and Wallinder will be interesting to see after the summer at training camp.

The center issue is a tough one, but seeing Kasper on the top line as a winger reminds me of Larkin doing the same. He’s skating with two top forwards for the org and could be told at camp that he’ll start in the middle with Lombardi coming up to do some time on the wing. Danielson, unless he breaks out, just feels like he needs more time. I know they wanted MBN to be ready but he’s middling over in Sweden.

It’s nice to see some of the guys who took a little longer to develop starting to step up and click. Watson has set up a really good system in GR for work ethic and being ready when your number gets called. Nice to see 3 guys from 2019 playing and contributing in DET

Naoh Dobson could be in play. I would trade Berggren and a protected 1st for him right now! It is down year for Noah, so it may fly! Then you could break in ASP on the 3rd pairing next year.

Just switched reps. Not sure what he’s thinking. Would love to have him, but no clue what discussions are. I don’t thing JB and a first would do it for the void. Interesting switch
