Staios needs to hurry up and trade for Karlsson. Detroit is circling for him as we speak... you don't want your former captain bumping you out of the playoffs... you want him leading you there.
The Sens could definitely use another defender with an offensive pulse to help put some pucks in the net. You've got one of the lowest scoring teams in the league, easily the lowest scoring of any team in the playoff hunt. Karlsson has more even strength points than everyone on your team except for Stutzle, and the Pens are not an offensive dynamo or anything.
I want you guys to make a playoff run and I want the Pens to get some assets for a retool.
Karlsson & Beauvillier for Zub, Perron, 2025 1st & 2026 3rd. Heck of a deal for you there.

I hope Detroit gets Karlsson. He'd tank that team faster than he did San Jose and Pittsburgh. |

Can we bring back Levi? lololo
Ullmark is playing like he did at the beginning of the year.
11-7 has to stop. It rarely works. |

Lol. I wasn't a big fan of the Karlsson acquisition, but he didn't sign our awful goalies, or Graves, or any of the 7 4th line forwards we ice on a nightly basis. He isn't the reason we've tanked.
I'm perfectly fine keeping him at this point, but I think it would be a great storyline if he went back to the Sens and they had some success. He can still play hockey when he gets to share the ice with quality players. |

no, it doesn't work. And add to that the coach's strange obsession with Hamonic and the defense just looks uglier than ever.
Like, now if Klevin is injured. I expect JBD to draw back in with Hamonic. Matinpalo to be sent down. Look for JBD and Hamonic to be on for 3 or 4 goals against vs. San Jose. It's getting to be like Moneyball and "Pena at first".

Ottawa Senators are in BIG trouble - and it's very disappointing.
It should go without saying that TOR, FLA, and TBL will grab the top 3 division spots. The 2 wildcard spots were looking really good for Ottawa, now Detroit is one of the best teams in the NHL. Other than Winnipeg, no one has a better record in 2025 - and we are 2 months in now !!! I warned against DET weeks ago but now it's too late. I don't think the Sens stand a chance to finish ahead of the Red Wings this year and it's highly disappointing since we started our rebuild at the same time - if not after them!
Praise Travis Green for all of his defensive work - he is KILLING our offence. Lucas Raymond, Dylan Larkin, and Alex DeBrincat beat Tkachuk, Batherson, and Stutzle in offensive output this year (166 points to 149). We gave Red Wings DeBrincat - Dorion's mistake - but Staios DID do a great thing turning that pick into Linus Ullmark from Boston. Batherson and Stutzle both went without a shot on goal against Winnipeg. This team without Brady looks way different.
Sens need to make some moves. Perron should've been WAY better and that is a disappointing signing. I think if we can trade Norris and/or Pinto to fix our center ice I'm on board. I'm also confused about Grieg - who should be able to be a strong 3rd line center that can play #2. Tampa does this with soo many of their players. They develop them. It wasn't just Point. They did it with Cirelli, Gourde, Johnson, now Paul. These guys can move up and down the #2-3 center slot at key times. They'll turn Finley and/or Goncalves into pros. I expected better years out of both Pinto and Grieg. These guys are both essentially late 1st round picks |

Not so sound like a broken record, but you need a RD who can produce some offence at even strength... Karlsson is ready to take you to the promised land... |
