I'm going to assume you meant back to back before last night? Article heading is confusing.

Anyways....pretty good game considering they were playing games 22 hours apart and they ran out of gas.

But...man...that penalty call with 2 secs left was awful and such a home team call. Brutal. Hard to win 4 on 3 in ot.

Buffalo has their number....

despite being a gassed team, OTT did well to get to OT with a 0-0 score, i think sens fans should be worried OTT most often than not, get dominated by bottom feeding teams rather than dominating them...

3/4 point in 2 games in 22 hours is good

now on to the loss to BUF on Tuesday

This was a game I'm ok with Sens loosing. They played really well, didn't allow any goal in regulation and are collecting points to get them into the playoffs. Most importantly, these games have LOTS of meaning, and playing meaningful games are better than just getting in based on points collected earlier in the season.

In fact, this is what is really impressive:

Since Nov 24 - 11th best team in the NHL
Since Dec 4 - 9th best team in the NHL
Since Jan 4 - 8th best team in the NHL
Since Mar 1 - 6th best team in the NHL

STL, COL, DAL, VGK, CAR. I think other than STL, those 4 teams are the best to win the stanley cup. WPG has the best chance for the Canadian teams but it is very likely that either DAL, COL, VGK will make the cup finals and win it. Fact that Sens are playing toe to toe with the best is great development for (1) Brady (2) Stu (3) Sanderson (4) Batherson (5) Cozens (6) Pinto (7) Grieg (8) Kleven and even a guy like Chabot, who has waited only less time than Jeff Skinner, Rasmus Ristolainen, Zemgus Girgensons to see the playoffs. All of them will see it this year, with the exception of Ristolainen

Agreed.
It will also be very helpful for team management to see how all players respond to the challenges they face in the post season.
I expect Staios to make 1 or 2 significant changes in the off-season to add size/grit prior to next year.

anyone know how Yak was this year defensively? since his scoring has regressed a bit, hoping that mean his defensive play has improved because Parehk is kicking ass in the OHL. could be a huge whiff there for SS...
