How many players have worn 40 over the years? I can’t remember many, so they should retire that number in the rafters with Rosen sewn on it. That would be cool |

Order of business:
1) Dismiss Lavy and most of his staff. Hiring the "right" coach is paramount!
2) Find the source of so many leaks within the organization
3) Trade K'Andre Miller --- he has so many gifts but is making the same mistakes over and over again. Time to move on...
4) Trade Kreider --- I have long been a fan but unless there is something going on that hasn't been leaked all season --- he has to go...
5) I don't think Mika, Fox or Panarin are going anywhere this offseason. Have to make moves to build them up and help them return to better play
6) Decide what to do with our first round pick. If by some miracle, we move up in the draft lottery this will be an easy decision. |

If we somehow luck into a top 3 pick we’ll either get a potential 1C or a potential Elite LD |

I think you gotta go center here. There’s no clear cut #1 and the franchise is dying for one |

ultimaely I agree, you cant pass up a center coming off a junior season of 134 points

I think Isles will be 10, and we’ll be 11 right? I think if not top 3 they have to give it up. |

I’m with you. It’s probably safe to give the pens 11 this year as opposed to the unknown of next year. And that draft is better by most pundits I believe

I was talking to Sil about this on twitter
if the Rangers suck next year, Drury will most certainly be fired
so why would he care about next year's pick?
only this year's pick can help his situation, what the hell does he care about possibly picking high in 2026 draft, if it happened the next GM would be making that pick anyway
all the reason no doubt in my mind the Rangers are keeping this year's pick |

That's correct, assuming neither of the following happens:
- neither team wins the lottery
- nobody behind them wins it |

That’s an interesting angle. Say he wants to improve next years team to keep his job, and he does trade the pick I still think he should give 11 to Pitt and trade the 2026 pick because that team may expect us to suck and get a high pick, but also (frank) the Pens and they’re chance at a lotto pick on our behalf.
Losing back to back 1st would suck though, but to your point Drury may be desperate enough to do it. |

Good Lord!
Leafs and their fans have way too many self inflicted scars to heal from….don’t need others to add to it.

Just imagine…in 2017 we only had to worry about a 50 yr cup drought. That wasn’t enough so we had to add the narratives of the boogeyman bruins and inability to win a playoff round. But no that wasn’t enough. We had to also loose can’t loose series’s against CBJ and MTL where the Leafs oddly found themselves as the series favourites. Now we just need to lose to OTT - at team we’ve never lost to in the playoffs and then lose a player to FA in the summer who could very well be at the top of Leaf Mount Rushmore if he plays his entire career in TO. Even then would the agony there? Nope - wouldn’t be the Leafy thing to do! |
