I'm surprised no goalie change for game 2. Anyways Oilers in 6.

The true hope is for Skinner to find form and stop the fucking puck dude.

Scoring 5 goals in the PO's should be an easy win.

But yes Kane should help.

I just hope that Kane, Frederic, and Klingberg are actually healthy, and the Oil aren't 3 men down by the end of the 1ST.

Great write up Sean, thanks. Always nice to read your stuff.
So Kane is back, I hope he can play defense cause no one else seems to know how to.
Seriously though stacking McDavid and Draisaitl on one line is great for 1 line, we saw that last game. If Knobby can figure out how to stall the game and get them more rest, it would work.
Seems to me the Kings have a game plan and that’s to send the 1st for checker in to lay the body. With Edmonton’s d it’s a great plan. Looks like J Low was right about Bouchard, he was brutal last game.
Never count the Oilers out though. Go Kings Go!

True and if Knobby rides 97 and 29 1/2 the game it won’t be long til one is back on the sidelines. I’m not sure they’re both 100% right now.

I read a scouting report that LA had done on Skinner. After extensive scouting, they figure out his weakness was Shots On Goal. Interesting stuff.

Someone said that it looks like the Kings are finding it easier to score on Skinner than the empty net.

Goaltending change isn't really going to fix anything

Dumb penalties, horrible defensive coverage, horrible timing of pinches by d-men, horrible special teams.

This team just continues to find a way to beat themselves. It's like the all have vacations booked for summer and don't want to play anymore.

It was always going to be an uphill battle with Ekholm out.

While most if not all your points are valid I do think a goalie swap will help. Even if just to get it down to 2-3 GPG and give them a chance. Oilers can score just need to keep it out of their own net FFS. Plus it's also a confidence thing from a mental standpoint. Players see Pickard back there instead of Skinner and I'm betting their effort and mentality changes.

I will thoroughly enjoy when Hughes doesn't re-sign in Vancouver.
