He figures that will be the shortest trip to the NHL when Dubas tanks the Pens this year and gets that first pick.

Fingers crossed! He has no idea how to build a team, so our only hope is that he can make us bad enough to get McKenna.

Can hockey players get NIL money? McKenna going to PSU might actually be something we look back on as a turning point from OHL being where all of the best players go to NCAA completely dominating. It definitely provides a better development path than the OHL, with the exception of the guys who have rich parents who can afford all of the top trainers in the OHL offseason.

McKenna is exceptional.

Maybe alot of teams are going to tank the season.

Penn St. is all of a sudden loaded with talent. Going from a school that never really competes to a possible serious competitor.

I don’t see why they can’t get NIL money if someone wants to pay them. Nowhere does it say just football and basketball.

Yes and high profile players like McKenna will get a lot more than we assume. Mid players like Henry Mews got double digits to go to the NCAA.

As the previous poster mentioned, this is the start of the death of junior hockey or at least the way it is currently run.
