Nate Schmidt reportedly turned down a trade to the Jets yesterday, so perhaps that’s why the Jets got Dillion instead. |

And Jets nation thanks Nate Schmidt for turning down the trade as Dillon is more what we need.

Sign Hamonic and then we're all set...
Morrisey - DeMelo/Hamonic
Dillon - Pionk
Stanley/Heinola - DeMelo/Hamonic
Niku

Major bullet dodged. I was thinking more about this player. The Jets have a Vezina caliber goalie. High octane forwards in Scheifele, Ehlers, Connor and to a lesser extent PLD and Wheeler. Decent defense and he does not want to come here. All it shows me is that this player is not interested in winning.
I said in the previous thread, sometimes things have a way of working out.
On another note: Brenden Dillon does not really excite me too much. |

I don’t know what you do for a living, but if you ever decide to change careers, you would make for an excellent boxing or wresting ring announcer. That way you could say:
“In this corner at 6 foot 5, weighing in at 235 pounds, Kurtis MacDirmid” |

Brendan Dillon is a solid pick up for the Jets.. he’s rock solid defensively and his underlying numbers are adequate. Also like the fact that he’s 6’4. |

Getting Dillon means good bye to Forbort....that should please a lot of folks.
Why is Niku still here ????

Looks like MAF is refusing to go to Chicago. Sad part of the whole situation is that he does not even have a NMC. |

I don’t think it means that until he is actually gone. He could still sign as a 7th option. Forbort is great friends with Pionk and Samberg. |

That’s funny, I like that.
only problem with MacDirmid is he makes Forbort look like Ehlers. |

Doesn't matter. Blackhawks don't lose because if Fleury retires then they don't have a cap hit. They knew this going into the trade.

maybe....but barring trades, I am thinking that Beaulieu has that job.
Morrissey, Pionk, Dillon, DeMelo, Stanley .....maybe Heinola, or Poolman or TBA

I don’t think that’s how it works. I believe that MAF signed his contract before 35 and as such, his contract would still be part of the cap. Or else, Vegas suffers a cap recapture penalty.
I could be wrong, but that’s how I understand it. |

Vegas might, but as I said earlier there is no risk to Chicago.

They also didn’t give anything up for him. Savvy move. Richard move, but very smart. |

Maybe not ! Maybe Chevy offered him a lifetime pass to the Assiniboine Park Zoo to close the deal for him to change his mind |
