For reasons stated in the previous blog, the cbj could simply draft Matvei Michkov and wait on him in 3 years. Contrary to Anaheim and Chicago, the cbj need a retool rather than a rebuild so being compettive for the next 3 years isn't something out of the realm of possibles.
Johnson, Sillinger, Chinakhov and Marchenko can all take the next step, add to that Jiricek who looks nhl ready. |

You don't think the GM will go with the Swede? Or do Finnish people hate Swedes? |

blog asked who I think we should draft , not what is probably going through Jarmo's head. Safe choice would be Carlson , I just think there's more upside to Michkov if we wait.

Here is my question. Will Anaheim take the 3 pick plus the LA pick for the 2 pick? If so I would do it. Fantilli is a can’t miss stud. |

Why do you think Anaheim would pass on a "can't miss stud" ??
I agree - it would be great if they did. But I would expect them to want more - maybe one of our young D prospects (anyone xcpt Jiricek) - or Boqvist. |

Never heard that, seems best
Player available will be the way, tho they have been eyeing a number one center for quite sometime |

Does it move Laine in the future to SoCal? |

Maybe asses what this team can do if not ravaged by injury before jettisoning Laine to California ?
A retool is in order, not a rebuild, also there's this disturbing rumor the Jackets are supposedly looking at Hayes to fill that center spot. Hence why the Jackets can wait on Michkov .
