If DeBrusk can maintain his current production, my guess is his exension comes in somewhere between 6 and 7.25m. 7.25 is probably what some team is going to throw him on the open market. Not sure what the Bruin's 'walk away' point is, but a trade might make sense if it helps land the bruins a center.
At the TDL I could see him being a part of a package for Elias Lindholm in calgary. I would hope for both sides extensions would be involved. Will be interesting to see how DeBrusk's contract situation plays out. |

Can’t see him going anywhere right now.
If they signed bertuzzi or didn’t give Hall away possible but now they are counting on
His goals. If he prices himself out or a real hockey trade is available maybe later in the year but not now.

Yeah I agree. Now isnt the time for it. Not unless it lands them someone of equal or greater scoring skill. They are going to need him to continue his current production or improve this year. |

Vertank should def be calling...I would think a solid D prospect and nice early 2nd in 24 could be in order - |

If they are up poop creek at the TDL, then sure, something along those lines. If they are doing well but still dont think they can ink DeBrusk to a reasonable contract by then, my guess is they are going to want a roster player of equal or greater value coming back. |

I would open with that offer -
We have a ton of picks and more than a few on the cusp D men ready to pop. Even a few F that have potential.
B's have no picks in the 1st 3 rounds next yr.. Def could see them being interested in getting at least 2 - 2nds a perhaps a 3rd -
I would love Vertank to try and make it a bigger deal... Frederic and DeBrusk for 3 prospects and 2 picks.

Best of luck to him. Gonna miss watching him play but he has earned this.
Time to see what Sweeney does now. No more crutches. |

Ducks and Bruins love trading with one another so I could see something happening. Not sure what Sweeney is after though.
We will have to cycle back to this after the first dozen or so games of the season. That is going to tell the story of the year I think. |

Bergeron:
A class act from beginning to end and for sure a first ballot Hall of Famer.
You were lucky to have him.
I sure like the idea of Matthews being free of the best defensive player in the league going forward, that's for sure. |

#37...classiest player in league history,period.
Welcome to the Charlie Coyle/Pavel Zacha era boys, where #1 and 2 centers are only expected to put up 45-50 points
And JG Pageau for Debrusk? Seriously?? |

That's a sign of total rebuild and Bruins management has shown no inclination to do that. Might as well try to trade marchand while they are at it.
Plus they need a 1C, not D.

Would be nice, but I doubt it. Once he locks up Frederic and Swayman I would venture to guess he rolls the dice on the current lineup.
Sweeney is probably banking on a strong camp from some of the younger players. I'm not sure that he has the capital to land a player like Lindholm at the moment unless its a massive overpay.
I guess you never know. |

Line shuffling to start the year is going to be epic. Guess Monty is going to get more practice at it. |
