Everyone wants the best quality athlete, so why not let the NHL team decide where a kid should play in order to develop their potential. All these rules and stipulations are stupid.

Same for Jordan Dumais who is as deserving as Wright. He is lighting it up at the Blue Jacket camp but his odds of sticking are against him. 8 points in two games, a OT winner in his first exhibition game. Wright should not be allowed unless other standouts are included like Savoie and Dumais.

That is actually the best suggestion of all time. All three of the mentioned players probably belong in the AHL at this point with no benefit of going back to junior.

A guy is too good for Juniors, but not quite ready for the show. If only there was a league that fits a player with that kind of profile....

Getting rid of that stupid rule is the easy answer.

The stat sheet vs the player says a different story, Dumais has incredible IQ but his speed is lacking and he is far from being a physical presence on the ice if he's not producing . Until he can figure out how to be a decent skater, I don't see him thriving in a league like the NHL .

So the send back to junior could be justified...

The easy answer is the CHL doesn’t allow signed players to be associated with CHL teams. No World Juniors no play in the leagues.

Another quality article. That's 3 in a row. Coherent ideas. Basic grammar and spelling. No bizarre rumours that make little sense. Almost seems like Kevin or Mike?

Anyway, the NHL wants Seattle to succeed. They also hope a market like Coachella succeeds too. So exception granted. Buffalo doesn't need help. Pretty simple.

Thing is savoie can just play with benson some more in the WHL but there really shouldn’t be double standards

You missed something:

Wright was the 4th pick of the 2021 Draft. Savoie was the ninth pick.

Wright turns 20 on January 5, 2004. Savoie turns 20 on January 1, 2024.

Actually I did notice that. But let it slide. Even the best of us will have one typo in a relatively long post...versus having one per sentence.

I would think Wright will earn a spot with the Kraken out of camp. If he doesn't, I'd be slightly concerned with his developement. The guy needs to play against the best.

You wouldn't feel this way if you were a CHL team owner and having a top prospect back would help you sell tickets

Wright was almost invisible vs Calgary last night. He likely does not make the Kraken, especially as a center with Seattle's depth there.

The real kicker is the covid exemptions that played into this. He would have met the requirements had it not been for the lost season. However I think the point is some of these guys really waste a year vs lesser talent when they would be better served playing pro in the A.

The other aspect is the NHL IS getting younger. With more teams and roster spots and the game going to a faster style the okd boys leave earlier than they used to as well. I think its time to maybe start looking at the ruld overall.

I think Ek is a test subject for Elon Musk's cybernetic augmentation program. A robust AI implant into the brain must be the cause for this change.

I think that a guy who's turning 39 this year should definitely be allowed to play in the AHL
