Diagnosis is in. Ristolainen has Ryan Ellis disease.

What is more likely? Flyers put up a 10 spot and beat the Sharks, or they do what they do best get embarrassed and are on the ass end of the Sharks first win of the season?

Flyers should do something bold to shake things up. Let a fan coach a game, put Gritty on the third pairing, make an announcer the President of Hockey Operations.

They moved the puck as good as I’ve seen this team do in some time on Friday…last night they looked choppy and were chasing the play. Consistency. Really only the 2nd game where by I thought they really struggled. No reason for an overreaction. Just a dud.

York, despite being benched the whole 3rd period, still logged 15:45 of ice time.

Ristolainen is addition by subtraction. I know it sucks having to pay the guy a good bit of coin to do nothing buy the dude is an afterthought for me.

Sharks gotta win at some point, right?

That's because Tortorella still doesn't trust Zamula to a large degree and has to manage Belpedio's minutes and matchups carefully. So right off the bat, the Flyers are only using four D regularly, including Seeler being asked to pull down 16 to 18 minutes. So York was used a ton in the first two periods before Tortorella sat him for the rest of the night.

How long until Torts heads back to the press box and let's someone else coach the team? He is still the only coach to let his assistants coach the team for several games while eating popcorn and shooting the crap with the GM during the season. Real Jack Adams stuff there. Real forward thinking supported by the analytics approach there ::sarcasm::

ND is what he is and if the guy whose main skills are "hit somebody" and "fight somebody" is the best forward on the ice then that is on the coaching.

If Couturier is out vs the Sharks I think they lose.

Bill, do you think Couturier makes the Flyer HOF? His numbers are comparable to Dornhoefer. Dornhoefer has 2 SCs tho.

They’re due to breakout. The team has 12 goals for the season. Matthews has 11.

York definitely was a liability last night. I have no problem with the benching and hopefully it helps focus York. Let him learn from this. It’s why we all scream to PLAY THE KIDS. So by the time this team is ready to be a legit threat to win these kids will have developed their NHL game. Play Frost and teach him. Play York and Zemula and teach them. Play Tippett and Brink and Cates and teach them. Teaching moments come in many forms.

Jackson and "boosh" with the constant felating of th e"PHD" line is beyond old at this point. So fn sad this is what they are trying to sell.

Belpedio is not an nhl dman. If he truly is the best option to call up based on play then damn. I dont want to hear Torts doesn't want 3 younger guys in the lineup. I the younger guys are the better player they should be in the lineup.

why doesn't he trust Zamula? Another case of actins > words as he talks up zamula a lot.

Yes these younger guys are struggling. Maybe they just are not anything special. If they can't finish how much of that will really change down the line? yes they also need to stay in the lineup. Not like anyone is banging down the door in LHV; though Ollie seems to be able to score. Bill have they given any thought on calling him up to give him an extended look?

Is Felix also hurt now Bill? What is wrong with Staal?

How many of these "kids" will even be here then?

Not just you though they are not kids to me. Not some 18/19 year old with no pro experience. Somewhat Younger players to me.

Haha. When you get to be my age, I guess all professional players but Jagr are “kids” right now.

Allison injured and no one’s even comments, feel bad for the guy but

Good teams will expose the Flyers lineup, only so much you can do when D and O not slotted right, eventually it is exposed
