The frustrating thing I see from all teams in the playoffs is all the passing on the power plays. Just throw it at the net, accidents happen when you do that.

Laviolette is definitely throwing smokescreens

Kakko could be anywhere tonight from 1st line, to 4th line to watching the game with me and TJ at this point

#NYR Matt Rempe says he, Adam Edström and Edström’s girlfriend went to an escape room together the other day and No. 73 says he absolutely crushed all the puzzles.

So he was third wheeling?

“No, SHE was third wheeling.”

They shouldn't be looking for "Payback on Mikkola.". Instead, they SHOULD be hitting everyone, including Mikkola. Agreed that targeting Ekblad would be wise, but don't get focused on one player who threw a hard, legal hit.

Agreed, why I wrote this in the blog: "New York needs to make sure - legally - that Florida, and it may be Mikkola or it may be a skilled forward - receives notice that hits such as that won't be tolerated without a reaction." Not just limited to Mikkola. If they make Ekblad chase, hit him every time he gets to the puck.

I get why Roslovic is in. But given the heavy lifting defensively the third line has been doing, play Kakko over Roslovic.

Sure, but it's not "payback," it's how they should be playing at this time of year regardless of what the other team did/is doing. Should have traded hit for a hit last game from the star.

I get the feeling the org is ready to move on from Kakko. I know I am lol. He got scratched last year in the playoffs if I recall, or the year before.

Carolina threw every piece of trash shot at the net. How's that working for them? Bob isn't Shesterkin, but he isn't trash Andersen. He's not likely to allow many sloppy goals. Forcing bad shots on the PP leads to SH chances going the other way.

Might have been the dumbest decision of Gallant's tenure here. I think Hunt was put in. What a dumb (frank)ing move.

Kakko has had some decent moments, but I agree they need more. It doesn't help that he has a guy in Wennberg that is allergic to finishing.

I would love them to score, trust me I would. But also recognize what that unit brings to the table and the hard minutes they play.
