Welp- I think the Waddell hiring is a great move. He's a "re-tread", which I normally am not fond of, but with Waddell I'm okay. He has experience building successful organizations, getting respect from both young and older players.
So now Waddell's position needs to be finalized. I suspect he'll be VPHOps, soon to be PoHO. I do not want to see Holland coming in too as GM - too many re-treads. !!
In that position I'd prefer a Mathieu Darche, or even Megan Hunter (she has the stones and experience). Waddell would be a great mentor for the younger GM. We don't need two old co-horts !! |
