Lets go Oil ... I grew up watching the 80s oilers , and with all the talent they had they didnt learn to win until they beat Islanders 1-0 .. Not gonna score 5 on Bob.. Hopefully -15 is out of the lineup ...

Panthers lost 30 games during the regular season, Oilers lost 33. Not much difference.

The difference is the Oilers are more beat up injury wise. They gotta dig down deep. All starts with a win at home tonight.

You mean like game 3 of the SCF? I'll be fine every year if this is when excuses start. You?

Secondary scoring has struck with Oilers. Now where is the primary scoring?

Panthers are outmatching Oil on all fronts.

As soon as FLA made the finals, I knew it was over. We haven't seen a team in our lifetime go to the cup finals 2 year in a row and not win a cup! FLA's players will die to win the cup.

McDavid will lift the cup for sure one day. Next year could be a VERY strong chance to do so. I don't think this is the year.

Yeah it’s playing out like that. So which team is McDavid going to bolt to win a Cup one day?

Best defensive team in the league and Bobrovsky is playing great too. Unrelated to McDavid, but Bouchard is having the worst finals I've seen from a top Dman since Brent Burns back in 2016.

That's because Bouchard is not a top defenseman. He is a scoring defenseman.

I had this same argument on this thread several months ago. Make all the semantics you want, Bouchard plays by far the most minutes on the team. He is the 1D factually.

You wish. McD and Drai aren't leaving. They will both re-sign and stay with the Oil like Crosby/Malkin.

Also Drake bet half a mill on the Oil to win which was also a bad omen. He has a horrible track record on sports betting.

Yep. Ekholm is the Oilers top defenseman and it's not even close.

Be sure to tell Knoblauch who plays Bouchard three+ more minutes per game than Ekholm this postseason.

Tough to win against a team like Florida, whom players take pay cuts to play for, when you have close to $15 million sunk in Nurse and Cambell.

Imagine if Edmonton had a stud goalie and another couple capable defenseman?

Not my wish. They can stay. But if they want to win a Cup they’ll go. Your predictions have not panned out. Sorry for the reality check.

Oilers have no business being in the finals. Clearly the East is far superior to the west! The Stanley cup was won against Boston and New York.
