Honestly Liane is a really good player. I’d love to see him in STL on a line with Robert Thomas . He has to get out of his own head ! Just loosen up and score goals . Unfortunately his value is at rock bottom and nobody is giving much. Too risky but man when he is right it’s beautiful to watch ….. |

Marner has a full NMC so he's only waiving that for a place he would be willing to extend at. Unless TOR desperately wants to unload Marner, that is a likely bad value deal for them. Laine in TOR would also be interesting given the pressure of that market and playing for Berube. |

Farabee to Columbus for Laine and a 2025 2nd. Philly takes some risk but gets the second rounder and Columbus gets a solid upcoming winger locked up for several years to an affordable contract. Joel gets out torts doghouse win win win |

Laine would be moving right into that doghouse. |

Absolutely though Philly is lacking pure shooters he could thrive and at the very least be a nice trade asset though I would love to see a sniper across from mm if he makes it to hilly this year. |

Laine (1M retained) to Detroit for Holl, Berggren, and Fabbri or Copp (1M retained) |
|
|
|
To Columbus:
Chabbot nothing retained.
Ottawa's other 1st round pick (Boston's 25th)
Anton Forsberg (half this year retained)
For Laine and Corson Ceulemens whichever 2024 2nd round pick Columbus would like to send.
Columbus gets years of a minute munching Chabbot who, in the right environment can be point productive. Forsberg needs a reset and a late first round pick thrown in to compensate for the defensive prospect Ottawa is taking back. Ottawa buys low on Laine reclamation project, some long term cap room and space for a goalie add.

You do know Laine vehemently hates Torts right , how is that a win for the Flyers. |

Hi Alex,
Maybe Torts would like this better:
To Philly: Laine
To Columbus: Gritty |

Maybe ...Anyhow, he will be too busy ranting to the press about how infuriating it is to watch Michkov not backcheck |
