"the offers on players/assets of interest are too low"

that will be the flyers "out" or "excuse" then tk is ext and laughton not moved. that is how they will sell it.

Bill how much truth to the flyers very interested in Brady Skjei?

Be prepared for the Flyers to make zero deals, re-sign TK and draft Yakemchuk or Helenius at #12

It’s possible but I really hope not regarding no deals. My preference would be to see one or two big hockey trades to get some close to nhl prospects that could develop to fill holes in 1 C and 1 D. I don’t want to trade mm or Foerster but anyone else should be on the table.

We keep hearing that Ottawa is interested in a deal and I wonder if pinto is in play?

This has been my call all along. Only difference is they select Catton.

I have high hopes but very low expectations that GMDB will make any major moves. Whether it’s trading up, getting more good picks, solid trades. I’m all likelihood, TK will sign an 8 year extension soon at a stiff AAV.

I’ll be disappointed if DB can’t get some business done. I’ll be fine with Helenius or Yakemchuk.
Chuck Fletcher did tell us trades are hard. Hopefully he left his trusted trade app. Part of the issue is when you hear the value the Flyers ALWAYS place on their own guys….like imagine turning down a 1rst pick for Scott Laughton? Or thinking of paying a guy, a decent RW, at 28 , 9.5 million a year and selling it as part of a rebuild…will they ever change?

This is where I’m at….he has no more room to retain $ which has been his weapon of choice when doing deals. Now we’ll see if we have a forward thinking GM they are selling us on or the same as the last two guys.

Well, they hired a glorified cheerleader as PoHO, Brier and Flahr worked under Cuck and the HC is a petulant, narcissistic out of touch relic. Expecting anything but same old, same old is just wishful thinking.

Regarding Pinto. I think folks here are overvaluing him greatly. Furst, there is where he was drafted and his production to date. But even more important is how OTT talking heads view him. We would be saying the same thing about him as soon as he put on a Flyers jersey.

https://youtu.be/HRVperwGuXA?si=UHL2mCUeUcbja82H

Summarizing the talk, they see him as a good 3C with potential to be a 2C. He is also seeking at 5 year $5M deal with limited time in the league already.

Tk on the condition he re signs bee frost and the 32 would all be in play. You likely can’t get both prospects with 1 c or 1 d potential but maybe a team who is ready to go for it flips a solid prospect that fills one of those holes. If a team like Buffalo is desperate to make that jump to the playoffs maybe it can be done. Maybe nothing gets done at all. We make the picks we have and look forward to mm joining the team

Thanks for the insight. Maybe that’s why Ottawa doesn’t want to re sign him that badly.

I’m worried about taking on chabot or chychrun though.

I do not think those pieces get what you are looking for.

do other teams have better players to offer that would get that type of return?

seems to me flyers players are overrated here.

Just a friendly reminder that there were a grand total of zero trades on Day 1 of the draft last year. Temper your expectations.

If the Flyers cannot move up and stay at 12, they are going to get a really good player. Most likely will go forward with the pick since the top D prospects will be gone by the Flyers pick. What I think is more likely is the Flyers move up in the first round from 32 if a player they really like falls into the 20s. The other angle to follow is the Flyers are still asking for a lower 1 st round pick for Laughton, so that could yield them another pick or an opportunity to move up.

I'm fine with any of the projected top 12 players, guessing someone will go off the board and someone will fall a bit. The 2 I am not excited to draft are D!ickenson and Eiserman, im good with the rest.

They have three youngish centers ahead of him. Pinto seems to be the odd man out there.
