At least we aren't one injury away from Krebs being our 2C.

Savoie is a solid prospect but at the end of the day that's all that he is. We lost VALUE in the trade but we get a real NHL 3rd line center who was just in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (I also realized he was benched in the final game). He's young, fast, wins faceoffs, the 2nd fastest in the NHL (from what i'm hearing), will be an excellent penalty killer. To get good things you have to give up good things, such is life.

Our bottom 6 looks completely revamped, I've been begging and hoping for the Sabres to get bigger and much harder to play against and that's finally what they went out and did. We lost value trading a 2nd round pick for Beck Malenstyn (I don't care), we lost value trading Savoie for McLeod (I don't care) . We got 2 NHL players who help us out immediately and you know what, we have 3 guys in (Jiri Kulich, Noah Ostlund and Konsta Helenius) who are very similar if not better than Savoie at least defensively imo.

We scream for Adams to make a trade and then blast him when he finally does because we aren't trading our scrubs for these guys... Nobody wants Krebs, Jokiharju or players of the like, I'm assuming all teams are saying if you want immediate help we want your top prospects in which Savoie other than tearing up the WHL couldn't make team Canada from my understanding. I don't want to down grade Savoie since he clearly has talent but i truly don't understand the hate.

Well as long as those moves work, nobody will care.

. I wouldn’t say he was benched though, Edmonton basically went with 2 lines and paid for it as they had no energy in the 3rd

I don’t mind the trade.

But imagine two years ago saying we’re gonna trade pick 9 for a bottom 6 player

Mccloud played sparingly in game 7 because the Oilers were down a goal. It’s McDavid every other shift when they are trailing. (Unless he was one of the players that let rhino walk in uncontested from the center line to the top of the circle)

1sts are like cars - as soon as you drive it off the lot, it loses value. It's the nature of the game

Well sort of.

First it’s - can’t believe he fell

Then - holy poop he’s untouchable watch his July shootout goal

Then - eh why isn’t he in the NHL

Finally - Man he’s actually kinda short for a hockey player

All that stuff is infuriating. I've been begging for the Sabres to trade their first for years. I wanted them to trade the cozens pick for Monahan to salvage the Eichel years. I stand by that take btw

He was on for both rat goals but I don’t thinking was the direct fault of either. Reinharts goal was mostly the fault of the LW and G - horrible goal to give up by skinner. I think if KA trades for a top 6 winger and McLeod plays with benson and Zucker he’ll be really good.

McLeod will get more offensive opportunities with the Sabres than he did with Edmonton. Hopefully he can take those opportunities and become a 40-50pt 200FT C. Got the hard part down playing D, know bring out the offensive part.

I got into a discussion with a guy on Twitter who said that McLeod better be a 45 point player. But if he doesn't get powerplay time, which he probably won't, then 45 points is pretty unrealistic. Last year, 45 ES points would put him 60th in the NHL in that category.

Imo, 35 points with no PP time is a very good season

He had 30 last year, I think with more opportunities he can add 10pts or so

Our bottom 6 is totally different. We are going to be harder to play against. Ruff will hold players accountable to play the game the right way.

We need our PP to be middle of the pack and if we can somehow get a top 6 scorer we will make the playoffs.

If we stay pat we will fight for 8th.

Can say one thing, I am slightly impressed Adams actually did this much. Really gonna need Ruff to bring it together. But he changed the bottom 6 and made us tougher and Faster. Not who I was hoping for, but I am surprised.

Adams slow play has hurt the Value of most of these prospects IMO. Wouldn't be so bad but we still don't know what we have in our supposed A prospects.
