Captain my captain. Down 2-0, Eberle nrings us back even. Down 3-2 and back again. 4-3 now. Cant seem to limit chances and cant get the big save in there from either goalie so far this season.
Good and bad overall so far.

This game is absolutely embarassing. Gru couldn't stop a damn beachball.
RF needs to make some serious changes out there. Time to start getting the you ger hungrier guys in there and we need to hit on some upper tier talent to fit in. Biggest need is an actual starting goalie. Gru needs to bloody well go!

Damn but cant help thinking we made some bad decisions for goaltending and defence. Daccord is good but dont think strong enough to be the starter, Gru just cant stop a damn beachball. Some good stretches but damn.... and Borgen, man he has not developed into that 3-4 dman. He was ok as a 5-6 but just okay and to think we let Soucy walk as UFA to keep Borgen. GHAGH  |

Another disappointing loss 4-2 to the Sharks... again.
Not too hard seeing what RF should be doing if you look at the stats.
Stephenson may lead the team in assists but is a brutal -10. Gourde barely winning more faceoffs than Wright and a -5 which I guess is better than last years -11 though with how it is trending? He likely gets close again.
Defence has gotten weaker and worse. Sure Schultz was a brutal team lead -23, but seems like Will Borgen learned from him well, already a defence core leading -12 and it ain't even close, and that's with playing 5 minutes a game less than the others. Dunn being hurt and no seemingly real ready options past the top 6 and we are hurting there, and this is definitely falling on RF for no addressing needs. At least Dumo was in top 5 +/- last season with Larsson and Dunn on the back end at +3. Montour has been solid +6 leading with 16 points tied with rookie Ryker Evans, who is only a -1. Kid at least is doing good. Borgen was supposed to improve, we let Soucey walk for him. And he is definitely not improving nor anywhere near a solid 5-6 d really.
Far as goaltending, Dreidger got done dirty. RF overpaid with Gru and damn is that biting us in the derriere here. Daccord is solid with 2.56GAA and .912 SV% which he ended last season with 46 Starts and was 2.46GAA and .916 SV%. GRU however, while continuing his yearly trend of being oft injured, has a dismal 3.62GAA and .862 SV%, worse than last year which was 2.85GAA and .899 SV% while starting just 34 games.
Looking at things BUrakovsky, Gourde, Schwartz, Tanev etc should all be moving on, the sooner the better. If we are going to be mediocre and like vs the Sharks just outright suck, least let the prospects and kids get the experience. RF needs to seriously get to work. |

FINALLY!!
A much needed win even if over Carolina. Vets actually stepped it up some. Least Borgen and Mahura were able to not get expmoited with Evans out with injury. Burakovsky also was scratched which was also a smart move there. |
