Felt last night’s game was the best complete effort by the Sens in quite some time. It was interesting to see the Leafs come out so flat.
I am really liking the addition of Jensen. While I think Sanderson is the best all-around d-man, Jensen is that stay-at-home rock that this team has been craving. If Zub can his game back to the level he was playing at prior to signing his contract on a consistent basis, the defence will be in a very good place.
You can see Ullmark’s confidence improving in the last 2 games. There are no back-to-back situations until December 13/14. I’d ride him until the Sharks game on November 27. He needs reps.
I would like to see JBD in rather than Hamonic but even Hamonic has improved his play the last couple of games.
Will be interesting if the team can get a run going. They have shown flashes other seasons that were followed by slumps. 8 more games this month. 6 or 7 wins would go a long way.

This team will gain a lot of momentum if they can win 4 or the next 6 games. I hope that we finish in the top 3 teams of the Atlantic.

Good game.
Good blog.
I, like everyone else, was waiting for the shoe to drop in the second.
Kawk nailed it about these teams best efforts. We aren't getting them - and we'll take it but then all of a sudden a team that is clipping along will come in and we'll get shocked'n'rocked. |

BOS was leading 2-1 for a while then OTT tied it, them OTT shut the game down so to say, and BOS almost won it in OT so i would not say OTT got the Bruins on the down.
Maybe you know its OTT playing so well they make the other team look bad.....its not hard to shoot at a net but when you do not let the other team even sniff your zone that means YOUR doing something to the other team, not the other that decided to pack up and go home. |

Strong agree on how this team has shown flashes in thr past.
Something feels different this time , hoping they can put some consistency together now. They've kept their head above water with some lapses early on, now is the chance to prove things really are different.
Another should win game on Thursday that they would have lost last season. |

all due respect the worst thing to do is take a November game to mean anything more than one off. - systemtool
Can't disagree with that. I much prefer trends - let's see if OTT can make tonight a 'W3' in the NHL standings...

Ottawa has now beaten the 4 teams in the Atlantic division that made the playoffs last year. Of the 4 teams Boston seems to be the most likely to have a meaningful regression. Time for the Sens to start beating the teams that they should beat. |

Wrong, 2 points in November are precious. And, they have the exact same value as 2=points in March. |

You can't win the cup in November but you certainly can lose it.
I don't think you'll find many folks planning a parade. Leafs came out flat. No one expects that for the rest of the season. You'll be ok. |

You're reading into things that aren't there. If anything we're overly pessimistic towards perceived progress on this team. |

You guys definitely looked solid in the win. Was impressed how the Sens played that game. Kudos. |
