Idk if it’s mental or not, but they seem to play much better structured defensive game when Quick is in there. Whether they feel like Shesty can handle more or not idk, but they were really good defensively last night

Seeing how much the Kakko and Cuylle lined struggled without Chytill it makes it clear they may need to make a move for a center sooner rather than later

Quick also make timely saves more than Igor. He lets up a lot of quick ones when there is an early breakdown.

Yeah the whole being down 1-0 a minute into the game lately honestly is what's been the biggest issue for me

I know this guy at work, hadn't been to a game in years and decided to take his 3 kids to a game and spend like 600 bucks and it was that Sabres game when it was 6-0 midway through the game lol

I am not blaming Igor here on a lot of the goals being fully on him, but Quick seems to make some early big/timely saves. Igor lets those in early and the team tends to nose dive right after

But that's the thing, make the big save early and the team rallies. Don't make it, and everyone starts to question/hold their sticks tighter .

My worst experience at the Garden was back in the dark days. Rangers were playing the Devils and trailing 4-2 early in the 3rd period. Peter Sykora for the Devils ripped a shot that was in and out so quickly that play continued for another 2 or 3 minutes. I thought it went in initially but just as I started to forget and hope started creeping in the Rangers came down and scored. On the stoppage they checked the Sykora shot...went from 4-3 to 5-2 and we had to sit through the 2-3 extra minutes of misery.

You are mental.

I will give credit to where credit is due, especially since it's been near 100% on him. Zib looked more engaged on the ice. He was battling. Best way to get out of funks/ruts, battle battle battle.

yeah, I was looking at that, maybe the Islanders get into it if Barzal and Duclair come back strong

but it really looks like 4 class teams on top of this division, which makes me just happy to get points this early in the season

This is what we are talking about. This season. And this season Igor has let a lot of goals in early. Sure for his career he has been stealing games but thats not what we were discussing

I know what you’re discussing lol I’m saying he’s a human being and it happens and they better pay his ass

It’s been a habit for a couple games, this isn’t something he does frequently

Yea they need to pay him. Just a matter of how much at this point. Don't think many owners and GMs know what that number should be.

i didnt see the game, dealing w/ sick kids and all so wanted to get some sleep, but did they really struggle?

the stat card from the game shows them carrying most of the play.
