I have not seen anyone really advocate for Federov for the next coach. Is he totally locked in with CSKA for a few years, either contractually or loyalty to Russia or KHL?
Probably not available till after the season.
As a KHL head coach: 229 games, 136 wins.
July 14, 2021 Appointed as CSKA’s head coach.
Feb. 20, 2022 Silver medal at the Olympic Games as one of Team Russia’s assistant coaches.
Apr. 30, 2022 Led CSKA to Gagarin Cup triumph in his debut season, rallying from a 1-3 result in the final series.
Could probably lure him here if promised to retire his #.
My choice would still be Q, but Stevie might prefer Feds and is maybe waiting for him?
The next few games are crucial for Lalonde. Boston is a 4 pt game, then NYI and Calgary before Thanksgiving, all winnable games.
