Trevor Neufeld: Why Trouba and the Flames aren’t a fit — The Month of Familiar Feelings

Trevor agree "trading" for Trouba doesnt make sense but if by chance he goes on waivers & by pure luck he drops to us in the waiver pecking order, Conroy should absolutely claim him & then trade him with retention. It would be such a Christmas gift to utilize our cap space like that. But I know, it would be a wet dream because so many other teams below us have cap space to do this would be all over it for the same reasons.

Trouba would be a great placeholder when they trade Ras. He would also make forwards treat the younger guys with more respect. If he finds his groove Flames could also eat some of that contract and trade him next year.

A cheap trouba would be found money. I would also try and pawn Kadri off on them and see if you could get Zabanijad. Supposedly Zads is playing like poop.

It’s only a matter of time til Zary starts finishing on more of those chances he keeps creating. He’s trying and succeeding at some high level moves with the puck. I like his center game, needs to learn how to win more faceoffs but so do all the other centers. Would be nice to see Pelts and Coronato on his wings for a couple games. Huska needs to give us fans something else to cheer for.

He's getting eaten alive on faceoffs. 33.9%. The rest is fine!

Honzek drives the play when he has the puck, but cook a little more. Stromgren looks great as well, but got caught holding on to the puck a little too much last night. Led to a goal against.
