Game was just gross.

Two questions...

Why does Sacco keep playing Swayman?

Why did he leave him in for all eight goals? Isn't that how Pat Roy left the Habs?

Time to sit Swayman for a while and let him get his head straight...

yeah so they fired their really good coach again, so next up would be a big trade, barring sweeney getting fired rigth? they could barely beat crappy teams like philly, so lets not get to excited about their 4 game winning streak. Id be surprised if they win one game on this road trip.

but yeah, leaving him in for entire game was bushleague. you could argue they were still in it in the third, but I think it was 5 -1 five minutes into the third...

I guess that's what happens when you play with an actual top six center.

We all know he's very streaky. Not too long ago sports writers were commenting on how poorly he was doing. Now he's been on a bit of a streak.

Let's wait until the end of the year to see where he stands.
(he could actually succeed there - I just think it's too early to bring in the jury)

Reminds me of the time Kasper? benched Neely and Stevens. How did that work out for him in the end?

Embarrassing players like that is a horrible move.

Depends on the player...

Last year, playing on the same team as Debrusk, Pastrnak scored 47 times and had 110 points.

Even if Debrusk works out in Van, he was never gonna amount to much in Boston. I don't regret the Bruins avoiding a seven year deal with the guy.

We will never know how he would have done in Boston........wait a minute.

Doesn't matter much, the money DeBrusk would have gotten was earmarked for Zadorov. Sweeney made his bed.

Neither do I. Way too streaky and inconsistent. Bad enough we're stuck with Zacha and Geekie as it is. Too many passengers on this team.

He had Krejci and Bergeron for years who I would take over yours. In Bergeron's case I would take him now in retirement over most centers not named Barkov, MacKinnon or Crosby.

Or he was hoping to hit a home run with Lindholm. Which the Canucks tried to do last season and it didn't work out. Oddly enough the money we paid DeBrusk was probably Lindholm's to lose after we gave up a bunch of assets to aquire him. Bullet dodged.

I think Lindholm was coming to the bruins regardless. Was kind of the worst kept secret out there. Even after Lindholm, there was money enough to sign DeBrusk if thats what Sweeney wanted. Instead we got Zadorov and some scraps like Jones.

Proof positive bigger doesn't equal better. Sweeney and Neely trying to build some sort of safeguard against Florida. You should be building a team to beat the 31 other teams or you should be unemployed.

Bottom line, this team would be better with Debrusk on the roster and no Zadarov. Once he finally got out of his own head, JD played a responsible 200 ft game and played in all situations (PK, PP, 5 on 5). He was a very good penalty killer at the end and I do believe if he was given a greater chance, could have been very good on the PP...he had no issues going to the greasy areas and was actually quite good at it. And I would really like to have his speed right now.

Pretty much all the reasons he's becoming a nice fit with the Canucks. Flames fans will tell you Lindholm was on the decline and that's why they fleeced the Canucks in that trade. I honestly thought we were getting more than we did at the time. Just doesn't really play with much spark.

Zadorov gave us good minutes though. He was well loved out here. I don't know what's happened with him in Boston so far.
