Puljujarvi on waivers. I think he will get claimed, but who knows. I still can't quite understand why DOC gets prime ice time and Puljujarvi never really got a good shot.

JP getting sent down when Nieto is getting a jersey every night and DOC and Beauvillier are flipping back and forth into the top 6 is wild. Nieto should have been sent down very shortly after he returned from injury and we’ve entered “take the best offer and move on” territory for DOC to save Sullivan from himself.

Sully won't take out one of his penalty killers, especially with the group performing well. People can try any other type of reasoning, but it's as simple as that, he will have four spots for PK specialists.

We didn't need to waive him unless another move was coming. But with Hayes and a handful of prospects playing well they probably didn't feel they needed the depth. A shame, I like Puljujarvi and would have liked to see him get a better look, maybe even top six.

That’s why as the GM Dubas should send his pooptiest PK specialist (Nieto) down. Sullivan can’t dress someone who’s not available. I know what Sullivan is going to do, it’s Dubas’ job to not enable him.

Likewise why you trade DOC. He’s had a terrible season but has a larger sample size of being fine. He’d probably a fine bottom six player, but Sullivan will always give him the benefit of the doubt over others for top 6 duties and that’s killing us so he should be traded to take the option away.

Dubas signed Nieto as an UFA. He's probably happy Sullivan wants him in the lineup. DOC should have been scratched weeks ago. He's wound tighter than a garage door spring these days. But again, he PK's so he's going to play. I don't get the top 6 stuff with him right now.

Nieto is a better NHL player than DOC.

DOC is not even tradeable at this point. Maybe you can get a team needing a warm body at the deadline to give up a 6 or 7 but even that is hard to make a case for.

Im anxious for deals to start happening, but can't imagine any team trades for Pettersson before the 4 Nations cup.

I could see teams looking for center depth being very interested in Lizotte. I'd like to keep him though.

It seems like the Skinner experiment in EDM has failed. I wonder if a Glass for Skinner trade is something that might make sense for both teams. I'm not a big Skinner fan, but I'd be interesting to see what Geno can do with him rather than DOC.
