If Matthews is out for the season, gotta trade Marner! You would think that a team with 4 of the top 10 paid player in the league could afford to lose one…..but not the Leafs! Any one of those guys are lost and they are done when it comes to playoffs. It’s a failed build that they keep replaying. Trade Marner if you can get him to waive. Maybe even trade JT and bring him back in the summer at a much more reasonable pay for two years. Now that’s aggressive management and a, go for it, style! So do I expect the Leafs to be aggressive, not a chance, they’re a play it safe team and as such will forever be solidified in mediocrity! So in the end my XMass wish for the Leafs would be to get proactive and aggressive in their chase for the cup. But, as a long watching fan, over 50 years, I know it’s not happening and as such, I stopped watching and pulling for them! Adios.

Caps need to shore up that third line if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs. Would Patrick Kane be an option? Or do the Caps wait for Ryan Leonard?
