Thanks Adam, great blog and accurate summary of the Canadian Juniors. Cowan was especially bad and undisciplined play was disappointing. The Americans seemed to have dozens of wide open slot shots while the Canadians fumbled and misplayed pucks when they had opportunities. The shots on goal were not an accurate measure of the game at all.
As far as the Leafs go, a nice win against a weak team with a good goalie.

It's a feeling of impending and inevitable doom. Like being tied down to railroad tracks with a freight train rapidly approaching. Sucks. We just went through that last week. My wife was the last one and she's still recovering.

Soooo anyway, Go Leafs Franken Go. I was walking downtown yesterday after the game and there was a whole family sporting the classic Islanders jerseys, the white one. That was cool to see.
Went for a skate at Nathan Phillips then baked a cake with little girls, then rang in the year with singing at Knox church downtown.
And then today is the beginning of the year in which the Leafs win the Cup, so that's exciting. |
