Farabee for Gourde+ doesn't make a lot of sense for the Flyers. Unless someone like Shane Wright is going to the Flyers in the deal.

Come on bud. I don’t make up rumors and in general the mods will delete comments like this.. I have broken several flyers trades over the years so this is one of my most connected teams for sure. Let’s just discuss it OK and if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. Most rumors don’t. Cool?

It’s Farabee for Gourde and 5 million in cap space this summer to use towards a center better than Wright who can compliment Matvei.

Personally I would want more than cap relief for Farabee. Gourde doesn't really move the needle for me at center.

I get that taking Gourde makes the cap work this year. Need something else added to make this deal attractive to the Flyers IMO.

I’m kind of with you on that one, but I don’t think it would be much like maybe a third round pick. Cap space is at a premium I mean look what Chicago got for taking all that cap space in ….barely anything.

I’m sorry but it’s not hard to just throw out rumor after rumor until eventually a few happen. Heck, you had Byfuglien going to Philly at least a dozen times!

Funny how I don’t recall you putting out any rumors of the deal last week. You know, the biggest trade of the NHL season so far.

There was never any debate who was better between TK and Farabee.

Dealing him for an UFA makes zero sense unless they extend Gourde. Not the route I go. Joel has struggled for a year now.

What center do you see them pursuing to play with MM?

No.

This would make no sense for the Flyers.

The Flyers should be looking to move Tippett, Laughton, Ristolianen.

If I am moving Farabee I want a center who can grow with the team. Not just a center for the sake of a canter.

Gourde makes no sense for the Flyers timeline. Seattle will be sellers at the deadline. So will the Flyers.

Agree as not sure why people get all angry when you report/say something. Odd to me. It drives conversation which is what we all want one would think.

Keep fighting the fight. When they don't sell you will then say the draft is when they will deal players.

If the Flyers wanted to help their cap space they could have traded Konecny instead of resigning him.

I know different times but the last time the Flyers had a bold GM was Paul Holmgren. He saw things were not going the way he thought was right and moved Carter and Richards and I think got pretty good returns.

How would they acquire such a center? The triumvirate has said they are rebuilding while at the same time saying that they will be active in FA once they have money to spend.

The only way they are going to acquire the talent needed to complement em-n-em is through the draft. Last center the flyers signed in FA was kevin fricken hayes -- barely a 2nd line center -- the other class of centers available in July are ones that are past their prime.

This "rebuild" is no different than hextall's retool -- same stuff different day/month/year as fans we are going on year 12/13 of this crap

Danny has been here for longer than 18 months. In 18 months, they haven't shown much at all. All easy lifting so far.

Don’t you think they tried to get more? Moving Hall cleared some pathways for them for their young players.
