Tough news on Varly.
Encouraging news on Dobson and Pulock.

I've been saying, and I think it's been apparent, since our last ECF season and the subsequent start of the next season that Varly likely has a chronic injury.
Sadly given his age and length of absence, I think his career is just about over

Agreed. Varly has been a great islander. The only positive is when his salary comes off the books and the cap goes up, that’s real money available to address needs. Hogberg (when healthy) came to play…..so he might be an option as backup

The #SJSharks have traded Mikael Granlund and Cody Ceci to #TexasHockey . SJ acquires another first-round pick as GM Mike Grier continues the rebuild.

Agreed. When Dobson and Pulock come back it’s gonna be interesting. Something has to give.

Lou did a great job holding firm on Robin’s contract offer and then bringing in Varly. Wish we saw more of this Lou.

Have to give credit when due, but Lou has done a good job recently with respect to addressing needs without giving up really anything. Although that is also affirmation on how weak the farms backend was/is having brought in 3 starting dmen. Lou saying he doesn’t care about bports record but if the player called up is ready to play the isles system was pretty wild. Bport has been awful for years….thats not nothing.

We give credit when credit is due. It was a dumb comment from Lou about Bridgeport.

Is Brock part of Lou's dinner circle or do you guys think he'll be traded? I think NYI sells, maybe after the break.

I think a lot depends on the next 5 games, leading into the break. Islanders are on a 6-game win streak. If they keep it going, I doubt Lou sells..........unless they collapse after the break.

Funny, but I couldn't stand the guy when he came over to the Rangers. Now that he's an Islander, I like that he brings a little snarl to his game.
