And most of my sources believe the same thing….. that the Pens are listening, but it would take a hell of a lot… and his $8.5 million cap hit is not easy to take in….

Here is the catch... Rakell's cap hit is 5.0 million. and no penguins player has a 8.5 million cap hit. Why don't you look at your own cap page, dunce!!!

So you slowed down to spell Rakell's name correctly, but then your cap hit is overstated by $3.5M which seems to invalidate the point about teams having a hard time adding him to the roster.

Then you spell Soucy wrong and understate his cap by 50%+. Typos are one thing, but when the facts are this wrong then I question the entire rumour? Like did your source say Rakell's $8.5M was an issue? If so, are they really a useful source?

Okay, 1st rounder and top prospect if you take Rakell but we'll eat $3.5 million on his salary so you only pay $5 million/year if you give us two 1st rounders and 2 top prospects.

Deal?

Not to mention the very next entry starts with talking about 'being known to misspell players' names'. Gosh, I hadn't noticed - actually I hadn't except that it was literally the player above that statement.

Do you guys seriously not understand that Ek purposely misspells names? The only engaging posts he gets are from people correcting his typos so he just keeps going with it.

So NYI is trying to add Yanni Gourde as a rental, debating whether to trade Brock Nelson, but shopping Noah Dobson. Makes total sense when you stop and think about it.

I’ve been known to go too fast and misspell players names, and this one is one of the weirdest spellings ever….Lets face it, too many Braydons and Brayden and Brandons…..
Anyway…Roght now he is kind of the belle of the ball in rumor land…

it's not just player names =P

The belle of the ball was originally Marner, then Brock Nelson, then Risto, Provorov, a Tanev, Gourde, Laughton, Seth Jones, Gibson. Now out of nowhere Schenn is the belle of the ball. Everyone wants him. Jake Evans too.
