I was anticipating watching this game... and what a letdown. Is Jack hurt... because even in the 4 nations he was ghost... last night he had that sweet steal and breakaway and a 4th liner attempt at the finish...

Even Kenny D on the broadcast was saying that after the PK it was time for the Devils to rally up the PP and then they just laid a fat egg with the Avs just toying with them. They look slow and as you say... not a lot of handles outside of Nico and Jack. And they better hope to get Jacob back and fixed in a hurry..

The issue in my eyes is not just depth but also the continuation of last years issues where the other team scores first and puts the team in a hole and other teams then clamp down and the devils struggle to fight back and create and when they do they can't finish

Lack of scoring depth is an issue

Palat shouldn't be on top line

Problem is there's no one that can move into top 6

Bring the venom Chris, love it! About time someone calls out the crap this team really is. I’d fire Fitz before the TDL and give someone else a chance at moving the team in the right direction. This never ending rebuild is like a one armed man trying to row a boat

The issue? Palat, bastian, tatar, huala, mercer, lazar all suck… seriously they can’t score or drive play..the bottom 6 needs a total over haul…

*please make this guy permanent* so spot on. Allen's numbers are misleading. And it is the crushing goals he gives up that are the reason for his record. Team clearly does not believe in him and they play like it when he is in net. Daws should be the back up. That being said, boy, there is a lot of quit in this team.

I'm not saying it's a cure all, but you'd think if your highest-paid forward is in a goal drought, the immediate response would be to put him with your best playmaker(s) and get the guy off the schneid. Instead, you put him with an AHL center and Mercer (who's seemingly barely going to crack 30 points this year).

Sick of having to hear this rhetoric that "Timo likes to carry the puck and is best served running his own line." Sounds just as forced as "Palat is great at retrieving pucks for Jack and Bratt." Palat's played the vast majority of this season with our two best forwards and doesn't have 25 points...

It's like a fever dream at this point.
