what about Carlo, he seems tradable. I cant see getting much more than a bag of pucks for Coyle, adn their best trade options are hurt. so typical for this year. |

I don't watch a ton of bruins games but I presume Carlo being 28 and a right shot D, he may be coveted too keep.
I think you're right on Coyle but might as well move him anyway.
Korpse moveable? I think he should be moved if possible.

Bye bye Frederick.
50% retained? Don't know anything about the players they got back.

50% retained by the Devils, I think. Maximus Wanner is a great name.

The Bruins get a 2025 2nd rounder (Blues Pick), 2026 4th rounder from EDM and a prospect. Not bad for an injured 1st rounder who was a reach.
Hopefully he has a chance to win a cup. He gets to play meaningful Hockey again. Best of luck to him.
Peace out Max Jones. Glad that experiment is done. |

Not a terrible return and we ditched Jones. Hope there are at least a half dozen more moves coming. |

From NHL.Com
Boston traded Frederic to New Jersey for unsigned forward Petr Hauser and retained 50 percent of the Frederic's salary. New Jersey traded Frederic to Edmonton for unsigned forward Shane Lachance and also retained 50 percent of Frederic's salary.
is that bad writing or is Edmonton not paying anything for Frederick this year????

Two teams retained half. So they get him for the rest of the year at a yearly cap hit of 575k. Not a bad deal. |

My read on the math is 50% of the 50% remaining... so 25% of his original cap-hit.
Same as what dougie said I think.

I'd add Swayman to the trade block in a heartbeat. Need to pull Dipietro up and let him play. See what he has and might give options to move Sway before the draft before his movement protections kick in. |

This team has no fight, they have no heart, but most importantly, they have no leadership. Nobody that wears a letter should be wearing the letter they do. I love Marchy, but he's no captain. When Big Z wore the C, I honestly think there was a level of fear of screwing up. When Bergy wore it...it was afraid on not living up to the professional level he exuded. None of that exists with Marchy...
The team is rudderless. |

Too bad they couldn't have won at least one more cup since 2011. I think we are in for a few years of this junk at least. |

You don't think Pastrnak should be wearing the "A"?

On this very mediocre team. The hate this idiot (frank)ing fanbase has for him is embarrassing and makes me embarrassed to be a part of it sometimes.
All we heard from the second Neely was toast: "We need a goal scorah" Well here he is and you poop on him!! (frank) sakes.

Never said I hated Pasta, but do I think he should be wearing an A just because of stats? The answer to that is no. Do I think we should get rid of him? Absolutely not.

His stats are indicative of what he is bringing to the team. He is literally carrying a bunch of plugs who couldn't put the puck in the ocean if they were standing next to it. He has been a member of the team since age 18, is well liked and well respected in the room and across the league. What other criteria do you need to have for him to be considered a member of the groups leadership?

Edit: This season he is also elevating guys. Take a good look at Morgan Geekie. There is no shot, none, that he hits 20 goals playing with anyone else.

Actually play a full 200ft game. Did you watch where he was and what he was doing on Stamko's goal? I'll give you a hint, he was where he usually is in the d-zome near the top of the slot watching and waiting for a breakaway opportunity. Leadership isn't a popularity contest. |

FFS dude look at his stats like hits. He has double the hits of some of his peers in the top 10.
Sure he's not Bergeron - but then again that's not his role.
He carries this team - without him they would be near the very bottom. Has nothing to do with "popularity". He's doing the job he's paid to do.
