It's a great place to come and talk hockey. Personally I love the format and engaging with other fans, both positive and negative, about the Flyers organization. |

Flyers fans happy with the off season so far? Only 1 real move that added some talent. |

Id say Im happy. Zegras swing is a no brainer, For that price, its worth it.
I dont care about Dvorak or Vladar but they are all short term deals and neither move really hurts the tank. Flyers are most likely a bottom 5 team again
Want to see this team land a #1C in the draft or Mckenna

Is it though? Most of the toxic posters are gone which is great but the traffic on these boards is almost non existent. You struggle to see more than 10 comments on a post these days.

Good move for Zegras. Low risk potential high reward.
Vlader and Dvorak absolutely hurts. They are both improvements over what was previously in place. A few more wins makes a difference in the standings.

I dont believe Dvorak or Vladar are better. Vladar played on a Flames team that almost made the playoffs and his SV% was only 0.018 better than Fedotov
Dvorak on the other hand only had 33 points in 82 games. He's basically just another Laughton.
This team is very much still weak down the middle. Your Cs are going to be Zegras, Coots, Dvorak, Cates and Abols if one moves to wing.
Only teams I think could be worse than PHI at the moment are Chicago, Seattle and Buffalo.
-Pens will be the Pens until Crosby\Malkin are gone
-SJ potentially getting Misa, Richardenson and Askarov in the lineup consistently could be a big improvement.
-Despite the loss of Dobson, Isles still have an elite young goalie coming off an off year. They still got Barzal, Horvat, Romonov and added Drouin and Shabanov. They should be a decent non playoff team
-Nashville should bounceback after a fluke year.
-Anaheim got better
-I still like Boston;s D and goaltending which I think keeps them aboive PHI. Maybe they get a 60 point Mittlestadt too

Still don't see Wright getting moved. Seattle then has to replace a young on the rise 2C, and for what back that's going to make them better? After being patient on Wright they now move him when he's finally hitting stride? Bigger thing is every team is hunting centers. Other teams likely offer more to the Kraken if Wright is shopped about. And Seattle had more than enough prospects and are still pretty loaded on picks. Just not a real fit. |

Don’t get me wrong they are apoor team. Blvlader is better than what they had. He may get them a few more wins is all I am saying.
Look at the roster that finished the year compared to what will start the year. Slight improvement along with probably better coaching. |

Flyers fans happy with the off season so far? Only 1 real move that added some talent. - furio16 Kind of what I expected from them this off season. No real long term commitments and not much improvement. Have to see what they have in some of these young players. It's funny, some fans that I have talked to were expecting a big off season this year, but I think next off season is where they will try to take a big step into contention. The thing is, will big name free agents want to come to Philly? They talk about having lots of cap space, but with the cap going up pretty dramatically the next couple of season everyone will have cap space and players will have choices. The defense and center position will have to be addressed big time before this team will get anywhere near contending.
Of course, there's that wildcard. If their PP improves a good bit and they get solid goalie play they could surprise and contend for a wildcard spot. I certainly don't expect that. You know they won't get McKenna cause he is probably already earmarked for the Pens.

Think them saying they will have all this cap space is a somewhat myth. Unless Zegras is a total bust they will re-sign him. They will have Zamula, Brink, Sam, and JD as RFA.
The guys like Eichel and the like will probably re-sign. If they don’t they are not coming to the Flyers. Not sure why this hard for people to accept.
After years of futility they still do not have a #1 dman or #1 center on the roster or in the system. That is a disgrace.
Even if the PP and goaltending improve they still will not be in the wildcard mix. Other teams have also improved. They are so far away from any real contention it is sad. All they do is tread water at best.

hoping nesbitt can be the #1 center, he could put up dylan larkin #1C numbers, just not the mckinnon #1C numbers |
