For next season, I would like to see a more balanced deployment with Monty get 52-60 starts and Dobes getting 22-30 starts. I think this will be to the benefit of both goalies and in the end, the team.



last year the only goalies that played more games than Montembeault were Vasilevski and Hellebuyck, both top-tier goalies who are still part of the "old way" of managing goalies... the new trend is much closer to a 50/30 ratio between a team's goaltending duo.

Dobes last season had moments of brilliance....in fact there were moments that made us all think that Monty was expendable. Monty has been nothing short of a superb pick up for the Habs but Gorton is correct...they are loaded in goal with Fowler especially in Laval who will make the team eventually. Nice place to sit...the Habs as run by Gorton and Hughes are shaping up to be a major force for years to come.
