Agreed! 1 playoff series win in 7 years and 3 years of sparse draft picks in the cupboard is all that you need to know. Spending first rounders to cover your mistakes is unforgivable.

Lol this still? Which teams that are contenders have piles of draft picks?

Also which mistake? Mrazek is the only one he had to give a pick to fix. Marleau was Lou.

The inevitable Matthews trade should be a good kick-start for rebuilding.

I just wonder if Keefe and Shanny have even spoken since Dubas

And how awkward would it be… Sheldon you’re still the coach but uh we’re gonna hire a new GM and fire you straight away… enjoy the off-season. -

I'm really, really hoping for Tulsky. Sounds like he may be a pipe dream with his lack of "actual GM" experience though.

I feel like Shanahan is going to want to pin his hopes on someone who has clear experience in the role. Treliving is probably the guy. Ugh.

New GMs don't always immediately shoot the current coach into the sun. As a matter of fact, a lot of them like to hang on to that piece to be sacrificed at a later date.

Keefe may survive the day yet!

I’m sure Keefe would much rather be moved out now while there are vacancies

I’d put the chances of Marner being moved at below 50/50

Keefe going into his last year of his contract which makes him a lame duck.
You either extend hm or can his arse.
time for a new voice behind the Leafs bench I say.

I agree - probably time for a new voice back there...

Not that they can't afford it.. they can... but how many ex coaches will be on the payroll... babs, Keefe, the assts perhaps. all the Marlies coaches... like damn a contingent of exs getting Chedda...

I tend to agree. I think the chances of AM34 getting moved is probably somewhere below 0.

Coaches are always lame ducks. If they can somehow see eye-to-eye, the new GM comes in and gives him a very short leash.

Fast fall. From the "Wonder-boy" and Messiah..... to the whipping boy in a matter of days. Things can change fast around here fellas!!!! lol.

He was a little stubborn deviating from his "philosophy"....but, I am sure he will surface somewhere before too long.

Sign Willie, keep Keefe and trade the 28 pick for 2nd and 3rd round picks and boom - job done

I like Dubas but I’m over it already. It’s a 24/7 job and if it’s too hard on your family you should try something else. It’s not much different than being an executive in any field, that’s why they make the big money.

Those trades are so hard to do. I’m about 95% sure Matthews and marner stay this summer.
