I dunno, I read here Bedard was still a junior player and wasn’t as good as Fantilli.

This kid gets 70 points with this collection of plugs he is playing with and its an incredible season for an 18 year old.

Nazar has 5 primaries in the last 2 periods.

I'm sure he'll be a bust, since Nappy doesn't know what he's doing.

Common Zach we can't afford to trade Mrazek because this team is so mentally weak they will implode and never be able to perform on the ice again. In their late 20s they'll be sitting around and saying oh what could of been if they just didn't trade away Mrazek.

No, no, no, no Fantilli plays like a pro, Bedard plays like a junior player who’s only interested in points.

USA needs to step it up, after dominating the 1st period, they’re getting out played by CZE in the 2nd.

Now 3-3 with 5 minutes to play in the 2nd.

Scary part is Bedard is probably not done growing. He will fill out and put on strength.

Bedard is going to get better simply from his body maturing as he gets into his early 20s.

Look how much Dcat improved his explosiveness and skating after his rookie year.

They overpass way too much, can make all those fancy plays when your scoring 11 goals a game.

Czechs playing hard and good D. Start shooting!

People are going to like Nazar, good playmaker, fast, good forecheck and a little edge to his game.

And D #20 Hutson, MTL draftee, is crazy gifted. Good at creating opportunities from the back end.

On to OT. My $ on USA 3 on 3.

USA win puts them in top 2 in the pool, and avoids CAN & SWE in the quarterfinals.

If the team is so strong, why do they need to overpay and resign Foligno to baby sit?

Let me guess, you didn't like the Foligno or other signings this offseason

That is not a secret

But I am not against them signing Foligno for next year. He serves a purpose. hopefully they do not sign another Perry.

I am also for them signing Mrazek instead of getting a draft choice around #50. Hawks do not have anyone to replace him, unless you think Soderblom can put it together.

I don't see either of the above blocking anyone that deserves by their play of being on the roster.

Yeah you're right. He contributes nothing on the ice and is just another warm body to fill out a roster and make sure Bedsy packs extra undies and a toothbrush.

I wouldn't mind if they resigned Mrazek. If they do get a 2nd or better I say take it. Will be interesting though if he is signed and gets hurt to see how much you'll be riding Little Nappy's arse for signing a player with a known injury history.

Maybe I'm off but what seems lost on you and some others is having all these picks gives you an opportunity to either make the pick or package one for something maybe Little Nappy likes better.

I know...I should know better though as Little Nappy has proven time and again over his one and half seasons at full time GM'ing that he is enamored of his picks/prospects and covets them to the point where he'll never ever trade one.

From last blog...

Yes they have. Are you telling me that the Hawks once they are relevant will never see turdness again in the millennia? Because that is what you are selling.
- LAHawk

No, that's not what I'm selling. I'm not selling anything.

Every team will go through periods of suckage - the financial and talent acquisition rules pretty much assure it.

Apparently the board has gone from debating this upswing to worrying about the next one.

I know you disagree with KD’s strategy of tanking again this season but what do you say about the Spittin’ Chicklet’s rumours of KD going after Willy Nylander and Elias Petterson this offseason?

The league is cyclical, with varying degrees of suckage. For some this is hard to process and tolerate.

It only took Stevie Y two years as GM (minus his first three ) to have his team playing mediocre hockey again. Get with the program Chief!
